I saw that interview,a few years ago. I'm like Prince always doing too much that's was part of his schtick on top of being a great musician.

If,you look towards the end of the solo Prince kept looking at Petty and Petty is looking at him and nodding at him to continue...So,I don't understand,why Dhani say it was gratuitous when Prince threw up the guitar.

He also fail to realize that Prince was getting inducted that same night too. On top of making a statement towards Rolling Stone magazine.

I said this earlier, maybe even in the same thread as this. Tom Petty was the band leader so throughout Prince's solo he looked back at Tom Petty who gave him the look telling him to continue.

Not all heroes wear capes and not everyone does something to be lauded for it. I heard that Prince has done tons of things that the world will never find out because he did it because it was the right thing to do

Prince is and was my guy, my favorite and the best artist ever.

In my opinion, and he has a new album coming this summer.
