President Truman justified the use of nuclear weapons on Japan due to projected heavy losses from conventional warfare. They also wanted the Soviet Union that was going to enter the theater of war in that region to back off and see the lethality of their new weapon. Russia could deploy nuclear weapons in Ukraine in response to military aid flooding into the country.
The Russian after experiencing heavy losses, retreating is not a victory. Russia could be laying the groundwork for the use of nuclear weapons on Kyiv by removing military assets. The flooding of military aid to the country and civilians engaging in heavy combat with them is helping them build a case internally.
Going to the United Nations, getting the international community to cosign U.S. involvement is a typical move by the U.S., probably after heavy threats/and financial inducements. I have seen this playbook used by WS many times. The Secretary General going to Kyiv and making that speech is classic which led to the announcement of this massive aid package. Meeting with Putin was to appear neutral and that his side was thoughtfully considered.
Cosigning the delusions of WS is dangerous, the United Nations needs to remain neutral at all costs.

When they say they sending money….it’s not actual cash money.
They are sending weapon systems and miscellaneous stuff to Ukraine.
All US military hardware is American made. Which means the money is going to US Defense Contractors which trickle down to the assembly line plant factory workers.
Who are all American citizens. Foreigners cannot make US military equipment because of security clearances, so it’s not outsourced.
American workers in US defense contractors plants are putting in overtime and double time to manufacture all the equipment that is being sent over there.
So, if you have family, friends, colleagues who work or work with sub-contractors in the Defense industry or outside vendors like food catering companies, cleaning companies, logistics companies….they are all getting paid in full as a result of this war.
A backdoor way of job security when you look at it.
