Bose or Dre Headphones

Any reasonably priced headphones under $50 because theres no way in hell am spending over $$$ on dre headphones.

I wanted to buy the Dre's beats todat but wanted to see if there is a diffrence between the white ones and the black ones?

My choice for general listening. They are the newer model of these:

And these have been around for about 20 years!! Tells you how good they are.

Hey, how much are these?

Less than $80

So these headphones can cut out noise? what if you are on the plane and the engine blew up? I want to be the first to know if anything happens I just don't want to be listening to music and then get a surprise death

Damn.. I like my Beats headphones.. My girl bought me the Pros for christmas... I personally wouldnt have spent almost 4 bills on headphones but i sure will take them as a gift....

I assume she got them from beatsbydre.com she usually buys thing directly from the manufacturer... I got the pros thought not the studio or solos

I saw those Pros at Best Buy the other day. Them bad boys are built like tanks. I think you could throw them across the room without them braking. They really seemed to have addressed the durability issues many folks had with the solos and studios. Nice all aluminum frame.

I rock with these. No complaints as far as sound quality goes. Pricey but they were a gift. I keep breaking the fuckin cord though.

If you have to put batteries in your headphones you already lost.

:D

lots of noise cancelling headphones use batteries. but if i wouldnt have found those rechargeables, i probably wouldnt have gotten the beats.

You can get a pair of Denon AH-D2000 cans right now from buy.com for $229 with free shipping ($349 list), these cans will destroy the Beats in any sound comparison.

With the Denon's you can get away without using a amp and still get excellent sound.

Those look damn good. Are there local dealers where I can go try them on?

if you want good noise canceling you are getting over the ear headphones so you can eliminate everything from dre and bose except the dre beats studio or the bose qc 15s. The difference between the two are the beats are made for listening to music with bass and the bose are noise canceling headphones you can listen to music on. For work I spend alot of time on airplanes so I wanted to get the bose so I could cancel out noise even if I wasn't listening to music. But the bass hits way harder in the dre beats.

I tried Dre in a Music store and concluded, I'm better off with my good old BOSE 15

Like you I spend most of my travelling on planes and i think Bose are best suited for the job

Those Luda ones look like shit.

The ones 50 has look expensive. Like $500 with the carbon fiber.

Everyones jumping on the bandwagon.

Anyone heard the Jay-Z Aviator Skullcandy ones?

Could never see myself paying that much for Skullcandy anything. They have nice gimmicks attached to them, but they're cheap and are average sound wise.

I think DRE started something

50 i kinda late into this but I cant fault the brother he doing what he does best

If you listen to mostly hip hop then the Dre Tours are actually very good. They have a lot of bass and are louder than most earbuds.

Some people might have a problem with the ear tips though. They aren't the best fitting earbuds.

I mentioned Klipsch on the first page, I have the S2's. I hear the S4's are better sound wise. They fit and feel nice. You don't even realize you have them in. The Tour's to me don't feel like they were built for you to be active.

i got the image sc4's on friday, they're light as a feather and they pack a punch .

i returned the monster jamz back to best buy:smh:
jamz_glam.jpg

they was heavy and sturdy. but the lows and mids wasnt clear to my taste. i wanted everything to be evenly balanced with the base.

cnet gave the image sc4 a higher score than the ibeats and the beats tours. joints got a perfect 10 in performance and was the best earphones under 100 dollars on the market. like an employee at the best buy said.... the beats sell because of their name, good sound but headphones won't last long except the pro's

klipsch is the beats killer, dudes is sleeping on it. dont get fooled by the beats flashy designs thats going to break on you in 8 months. went to the best buy around my job and dude was installing a new beats headphone samplers and they said they constantly have to change them because the headphones are breakable and not durable.

Yeah, those will probably be my next purchase. Hopefully I won't need them for a while though.

never used beats cause i dont kno anyone with them. I own both the QC15 and QC3 headphones and love them shits to death. Until I mess with beats, them shits aint goin nowhere

So, can anyone recommend the best earbuds in terms of durability and sound quality for use during excercise? Great thread Gametheory.
