Its monopoly money to them...the country has been in a "debt crisis" for DECADES yet they STILL find trillions for the military. Take the Iraq and Afghanistan wars for example... TWO theaters fought simultaneously mind you. Estimates vary, but the combined cost of both conflicts is likely between $6 trillion and $8 trillion. The war in Afghanistan alone has cost the U.S. over $2.3 trillion. The Iraq war, including operations in Syria, has cost around $2.1 trillion. These figures include direct military spending, long-term healthcare and disability costs for veterans, and interest on borrowed money. Where did they get that money??? When all of that was going down...conservative fiscal hawks were quiet as church mice. As they are TODAY. BUT we need to cut Medicaid, education and SNAP and USAID....cuz those things are breaking the bank. Everyone one falls that okeydokey every time. The reality is, the people who keep voting for cuts on those things listed...just hate poor people and especially hate poor people of color and anything that makes them suffer get a thumbs up for those people. Meanwhile TRILLIONS are spent on anything that feeds the industrial military complex....including your sons and daughters. But we're in a "debt crisis".... funny, doesn't feel much like a crisis.

So yeah fiscally liberal is a thing they've been doing for a long time...just not with you or me
