Nawh, I can't see Will Smith as Nick Fury or John Stewart. Come to think of it I can't see Will Smith as any character in either universe. Beside rumor has it that he's been approached, but refused because he would have to share screen time with other actors...

Black Panther is a full-blooded African right? The role shoulda went to the more talented Nigerian Chiwetel Ejiofor.

I guess Boseman is darker-skinned and looks more African I guess :dunno:

Agreed. But BP is ivy-league educated. Plus Boseman has a more athletic physique which is better for the costume.

Learning the right 'accent' is easier than getting in 'proper shape', for most actors who tend to take different roles that requires them to gain / or lose weight drastically in short periods of time.

Just saying.

I agree Chiwetel would have been a much better Black Panther but the problem with any person chosing to do a superhero movie is the long term committment to the character - you have to be available to Marvel for multiple pictures - fuck your career as an actor-

Jaoquin Phoenix wanted to do Dr. Strange but had to pass on the deal because of the multi picture committment. Eljifor is an actor in demand and he wouldn't want o be locked in for 10 years into the future.

I agree. Chiwetel IS the better actor, overall. :yes:
But Boseman is not a bad choice bruh. :smh:

You are overlooking the fact that Boseman also LOOKS younger.

These Marvel movies are geared towards a younger audience.

And Boseman looks to be about the very same age as Chris Evans / Captain America.
Even Don Cheadle (Rhodes) 'looks' a bit younger than Chiwetel onscreen.

All the stunts & fighting will be taken care of by the stunt coordinators.

So Boseman got 2.5 - 3 years to get his movie 'fight game' together.
That's plenty of time. :yes:

Plus, by the time the movie drops in 2017, he gonna get on that (Chris Evans) 'workout plan' and become a MONSTER, physically.

This is not a problem Boseman is likely to encounter. Boseman grew up in Anderson, S.C., but beyond that, he recently revealed in a HuffPost Live conversation with a fan his ancestors were Limba people from Sierra Leone. He took an African ancestry DNA test for the Continuum Project. “I want to know more about myself and to educate my family about where they come from,” Boseman said.

Mackie said Falcon will get a suit upgrade for the next Cap movie. In the comics, Panther was the one that upgraded Falcon's suit. I dont know if they will translate that into the movie though
