Birth of a Nation only 7 million...smh

Why would white people want to show a movie about black rebellion against racism/white supremacy?

The movie isn't displayed everywhere. Even in my area.
That's not how this works. Most screens are owned by a corporation, and we all know corporations have one goal in their life. There is no need to sabotage a film no one was going to see.

There's no conspiracy, bruh.

I don't think people were expecting $20-30M, but $7 opening weekend? I think 10-15 was the average expectation. I haven't seen it yet, but I did purchase a ticket at AMC and bought the soundtrack...sad how little support it got.

That's my point in the other thread. All blacks don't have to like the movie however the criticisms I've seen are on some feminist nonsense and folk are NOW tired of seeing slave movies, but was happy for the Roots remake or 12 Years etc...

I forgot this had a soundtrack. About to listen to it now on Apple.

Negative.

Racism/White Supremacy > money

Why would they refuse to show it?

because of profit margin. if they don't hit quotas of ticket sales they lose money. lack of watchers = lack of concession sales, etc., which could have been used for another movie

Your equation is off. It's not more than, it's more than and/or equal to money.

No.

Establishing, Implementing, Expanding, and Refining the Global System of Racism/White Supremacy means more than mere money.

Money comes, goes, and disappears. White Supremacy has been permanent for the past 500 years.

Not according to the movies numbers..just had a coon tell me that nat Turner was wrong, he should've let God handle it.. Brah

:smh:

I'm seeing people pissed that he changed the reason of the revolt from a "divine vision" to seeing his wife raped, but I like that he changed it because it removes that docile fantasy shit like that coon was telling you :smh:

If there was no conspiracy the rape shit wouldn't have come out when it did.

I know I'm not watching it. Its more like one of those movies i'll buy on DVD and shelf it for a while before watching. Sought of like Amistad.

We're not. I got friends refusing to see it because "he's a rapist".

We fall for the divide and conquer tactic every time. Also, some of our people are way too gullible. He gets found not guilty, but they saying he's a rapist regardless.

But these killer cops out here shooting unarmed men and these negroes be all "oh the lord says to forgive and heal". :smh:

It will get better. Funny we live under white supremacy and constant brainwashing. We cannot expect the numbers to match other films. The local BLM in my area told everyone they not going to see it because they read the transcripts of Nate Parker case. I'm going to see it with a few brothers. We can't measure are success by European standards. Hollywood has done everything they can to sabotage this film.

if this aint the most ass backwards shit.....:smh: :smh::smh:

A bunch of feminist bullshit. They keep saying he got off on a technicality but when you press them about what technicality they ain't got the answers. They just get mad and block you, accuse you of supporting "rape culture " or just not reply back.
I always wondered how black women back in the 60s/70s fell into this whole feminism shit with white bitches to shit on Black men and now I understand.
A few years ago I saw a documentary about the Angela Davis case. Before the trail she was very much pro-black. During the trial she said she was being mistreated by the system not because she was black, but because she was a woman(or something like that). After the trial she only spoke about women's issues.

When dumb motherfuckers say shit like "why would they close schools and open juvenile prisons? Educating people is much cheaper." or "you mean they'd spend who knows how much money just to tarnish the image of a black man?" I ask them "what the fuck is money to the people who print the money?"

VERY VERY VERY GOOD POINT!!!!!

I saw nothing but bad reviews before seeing it this morning. I thought it was good. Only about 25 people in the theater, all black people. Wifey was like fuck Nate Parker on some feminist shit, so I went solo. She believes that he stuck his foot in his mouth too much while promoting the movie. I just rebutted in my Dick Gregory voice "It's a game!" and kept it moving.

I stopped going to the movies a lot of years ago. My hardest job now is trying to be a raw vegan. Building a nation for blacks is all I live for.

Her entire movements after that period were real suspect.White women haven't helped Black women at any point in history while they have used Black women to achieve everything they have acquired but Black women who are feminists are deluded into thinking all men are holding down women.

Crush? No. But it should've done far better. It had to combat the bad press.....the narrative wasn't Nat Turner. It became Nate Parker's story. That shouldn't have happened. It never happens with anyone else.

The most symbolic shit to me was how many parallel's between today and back then there were. The biggest one is the poster with the american flag around his neck like a noose......they attempted to hang Nate Parker....maybe not in the general sense like we're accustom to seeing but they definitely did it and did it soon as the buzz for this came out. And it was everyone from every race.....

We don't "need" it but he's right. This film wasn't going to do good with simply just black people seeing it. Blacks went out and saw it. No one else did which is what the problem was.

No cac wants to see that shiit,
And most black folk don't either

That's not what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is that for a black movie to rank high revenue numbers... white people have to like it and view it.

We only make up 10 to 15 percent of the American population.

People are so stupid. What did they see in those transcripts that proved he was guilty?

these

Then u got stupid house broken ass coons boycotting this movie..but be first in line to see da help.. Brah

we'll remember this anytime a cac male makes or release a movie , we'll be sure to hold them to the same scrutiny even if they've been acquitted, we'll remember every polanski affilliated movie,we'll remember every head of studio molesting boy and young impressionable chicks..we'll remember every slave coon movie by every coon and devil cacs with baggage that they all go to see regardless
