Billions | Showtime Series l discussion thread

God Damn, I knew there was a reason I loved this chick. She is so attractive, but I thought it was mostly because I'm completely over the trend of heavily made up broads, that are completely fake from the neck down. I was hoping to at least see a butt cheek as well.

On another note, how the fuck does Chuck get his old lady back if she can't even trust him around her laptop and if they don't get back together, I don't see
how they can even work her into the narrative of the show since she wouldn't have a connection to either Chuck or Axe

WOW!!!!!! Yo, I had no idea. I'm having the same damn response right now... I knew there was something I liked about her. #genetics

Bout 2 watch the last 2eps of last season..

Then first ep of this season....is s2ep1..on the board??...
Man that year wait is way too long...LoL..smh..

Finally caught S2 E1. I'm loving that they stuck with the program and turned up the tension and suspension right from the first episode.

I know some already checked the second episode, but it looks like there is no escape for Chuck being fired. Of course that can't happen, but Axe painted him in a nice corner with the timely payment to Wendy and the lawsuits. Knowing Axe, the timing of the payment to Wendy was all a part of the plan.

Brian... Smh.... Sold out Chuck. Snitches get stitches.

Only episode 1 I've seen.
Axe the usual
everything the usual aside from Dake- new hero. Dickhead with nothing to do but get in your business. I see a pivot using him to get into axe business later on in the season.
No pasty white cac better not touch his new chief officer that's all I know.

I got dish, and recorded s2e1 and when it finished it asked if I wanted to play s2e2 and I hit yes

ya I can't find anything...even all the torrents from ep 1 are from 10 days ago when the preview dropped...so there are no fresh uploads of ep 1 from sunday nite...ep 2 has been overlooked by them it seems :(

here's a book on Steve Cohn, who ran a hedge fund and got in trouble.

It sounds very much like Cohn was the real life model for Axe.

The author, who once worked at a hedge fund herself, has been doing interviews to promote her book.

You're spot on. The show runners said Steve Cohen did serve as inspiration for the Axe character.

I love how Chuck saved his job at the end of the episode. That was slick. That coward ass snitch he got working for him, should have just
went to work for Axe when they offered him the job in season 1

I thought bruh with the afro was making chess moves for the helm until he got Chuck off the hook. What was that all about? Writing on this show is tight af.

Don't seem like he saved his job to me. I think he just delayed the inevitable. The AG doesn't appear to give a fuck about Chuck's target of convenience. She's just going to play along.

I agree about Brian. Dude sold Chuck out because he wants to be US attorney, but it wasn't worth it. He wants to claim the moral high ground while stabbing his boss and mentor in his back. I'm not fan of his this season.

I don't know what y'all talking about
Brian still has the moral high ground - he saw Chuck violate ethics and break the law multiple times last season. He suspects that Chuck is truly corrupt now but the problem is Brian would be screwed out of advancing if it became known he was a whistle blower.

After Ax - Brian has been the most honest / realest character on the show

If Chuck actually brings the guy down - they can't fire him for the same reason she didn't fire him now -it would look like retaliation because of how close a relationship the head of that bank has with the Treasury and other politicians in the administration - in the real world the banker Chuck targeted would be the head of GoldmanSachs

That's what I mean. If he hadn't come through with that last minute hail Mary, he would have been going to get fired that day. It's not impossible for him to get out of that lawsuit situation with a little time and that is the reason he's getting fired, if I'm not mistaken.

I think bruh, just wants to keep his cushy job and eat his sandwiches in peace. He's exactly like I would be. Chuck could be making 50k-75k more than him and it's still not worth the headache or the getting fired soon as shit hits the fan. You can fulfill your pockets and ambitions with some sort of side hustle. Fuck the headache. That's why he was nah, ole girl, you take this case to Chuck

They would have to reveal that for me to believe it's true. From what I remember, Chuck had already had it planned to give her a bonus, which I think he does every year and he upped it to 5 million because he had accused her of being a rat, which turned out to not be true. Plus she's the one that made him wire the money right then and there which dictated the time of the payment. I think it would have been much later otherwise. Plus he had already fired her.

I fired up my DVR to watch the episode that aired on the 12th and realized from the recap that somehow I missed an entire episode (Episode 3), which I assumed aired on the 5th. I'm wondering how I missed an entire episode. It's like I lost a whole Sunday. I must have deleted it from my DVR or something. Considering nobody in this thread has actually discussed the happenings of episode 3, maybe we all lost a Sunday and we're living in the Twilight Zone.

Episode 3 was good though. Rich man's poker tournament, Taylor (a grown version of 11 from Stranger Things), Todd Krakow being made to look like a bitch, again, by Axe. Axe fucking with Chuck on a deep personal level by buying up his cherished books, then ordering to buy every other copy of the same book around the world, and signing off the episode by saying in response to "That will be expensive" - "Well it's a good thing I'm a rich man".

I'll be checking Episode 4 some point today, hopefully during this NY snow day.

I wonder how long they can keep up this cat and mouse game and keep it interesting.

That being said, its a damn good show.

I believe Axe knew he wasn't going to get that NFL team along time ago but went for it anyway.

Taking out other people in the process and making his lawsuit claim look real.

He got the AG on tape gloating, high fiving on his misfortune for his lost along with stalking

Everyone is always trying to lure Bryan away it must be a tremendous boost to his ego
Is it just me or did the women in the last episode look beyond beautiful ? even the extras !!!!!!!!!!
