My bm called me today looking for a 1k loan until taxes. I got the money but I told her to kick rocks. I have full custody of our kids and they live in my house. I ain't knock her pockets for support and I have never asked her for a dime. She coming at me with the xmas time sob story bout being broke from getting the kids gifts and shit. I know she ain't broke, she got a good union job been there overy 15 years, she got a savings, 401k, all that shit. Only thing change since I put her out of my house is she went from no bills to bills since I pretty much took care of everything, all she had to pay was groceries and her car insurance, I payed her car note and the mortgage. Just wondering what you other cats would have done.
 
I don't loan money period, but definitely wouldn't do so for a BM. Most likely when it's time for her to pay up she'll pull a "well I deserve the money" bullshit and I'll never see the money again.

I'd tell her like I tell everybody, if banks that are in the business of lending money feel it'll be unwise to lend you money then so do I ... :hmm:

especially since you have custody and the kids live with you, i'd say you made the 100% correct decision.

People are just corny. Maybe I'm getting older, but my patience towards these stories are starting to get silly.
 
It sounds like you and your bm maybe on bad terms because of something in the past.if that's the case, the fact that she is your bm is irrelevant.even if your attitude is just we are no longer together so you're are not my responsibility, you can do whatever you want with your money.

I'm not going to lie I'm soft, so if I can afford to lose the money fuck it. It probably would depend on the severity of what the person did but in most cases I think I have an emergency button that anyone can use one time regardless of most crimes.

In general if I have to debate about helping someone out, I ask myself if they have done anything for me, would they do anything for me, have they tried every available resource before coming to me and most importantly is it going to hurt me in any way.

Court, lots of court and a lawyer. It took me almost 2 years. She was living in my house and we split up so I moved out and bought a small townhome. I just got sick of that split time bullshit so I hired an attorney and started the process. I own my home, kids on my insurance, there was a whole ton of shit they use to weigh out where the kids are better off. It is a brutal and expensive process, but the scales ended up in my favor.

We were in an 11 year relationship, it ain't like she was a jump off. In a lot of states she would have been considered my wife, nj don't have common law.

I just got back from SF last week, I am back out east. I still travel but my trips are limited to 14 days max and get to spend at least 4-6 weeks home between trips. When I leave I have a couple outta work family members that just stay at my house with my kids during the week, and they usually go to their mothers on the weekends. I will be back for super bowl weekend though. I don't live in a penthouse, lol I live in a hirise, the penthouse in my building runs like 14k a month or something ridiculous like that my company ain't paying for that shit.

This nigga said he has out of work family members that stay in his crib and watches his kids when he is out of town for months. Last year it was him and his girl for 25 years whose kids he takes care of tossing up his married neighbor together.
