Auto Repair For Dummies

Thanks.

Good drop. The first thing I do when I buy a used car/truck is buy it's Hayes Repair guide.

Even though I'm a mechanic, I can appreciate the knowledge drop. The primary reason why guys like me have a job is because the average person doesn't have the tools and/or patience to properly maintain their car in the first place. Again, nice drop!

True shit homie..I work in the auto industry and while this book is very helpful, alot of new whips are diagnosed from the ECU (engine control module)and need to be hooked up yo a PGM tester to see whats wrong with them. But for used cars this is very helpful stuff as well as the Haynes manueals.

Peace

I have the soft back version of this book and its very helpful so that you know how your car operates. It's not really a repair guide, more of a how to fix your car guide.

And to Hotnicks, I'm trying to teach myself now how to fix my cars and learn everything. I've learned a lot and want to take classes, but I don't think I have the time. I have full-time load of school and work I don't think I will be able to take classes. Do you think I could still teach myself major stuff like engine rebuilds?
