They tried that shit here in Dallas last year, it's called "Home Rule". A lot of us got together and fought that shit as a billionaire literally funded a campaign & tried to get a special election to have DISD break away from state funding and go "private" under the guise of charter schools. Another reason I said earlier, the system should be on trial & not just get heavy handed with these pawns.
