I can't speak for any of the other parents at other schools but the one where I volunteered parents were nonexistent.
Only time I saw a parent was when the blond headed (with neon green streaks), knife wound across her entire neck, heavy handed bitch with neon green air max 95s to match the green streaks in her hair came to fight a teacher.
The bitch slide a table in front of the door to block the teacher in the classroom.
This was after I witnessed her child (5th grader working on 2nd grade work) terrorize a class until he got kicked out.
The nigga crip walked his way out the classroom.

So, you're going to base what you've worked with in a certain area to say that half of ALL parents in Atlanta can't read? Funny, because all of the parents that volunteered with me at all of my son's school (Doraville, Atlanta, Grayson) were very smart and helped out with tutoring. This is why I'm going into charter, private, or community college to teach. I'm not teaching kids to pass a test, if they don't understand why their answers are the right ones.

And this alone is why the sentence is too much. The problem was rooted in the administration and grew from there, shit rolls downhill. Not everyone in a profession is in a position to take an ethical stand, people have families of their own, mortgages, bills.
They didn't freely commit these crimes without coercion, intimidation, or the threat losing employment.

These tests use flat raw scores with determined pass and fail scale. Non cheating teachers were NOT adversely effected by those who cheated. All this does is underscore my initial point that teachers were threatened with losing their jobs if certain goals were not met. A two grand bonus is fucking inconsequential in the scheme of things. These teachers were put in a bad situation from the board and the system from jump.

Of course it is. You have poor students from broken homes ill equipped to pass standardized exams and overwhelmed underpaid teachers threatened to pass them or else. Its a human reaction. Granted some took it way too far and got way too comfortable but it happens.

You realize part of what you typed up explains a learning disability, which is a reason why students are classified as special ed and given specialized instruction...a student who is in middle school with a third grade reading level is learning disabled...if he can't read by sixth grade, what else can people do for him but to give him specialized instruction?
What do the parents have to say about all this shit that was going on with their children?

Show me proof of this. Secondly, the original threats came from the BOE and administrators who threatened to penalize and fire teachers for poor performance. Thats creates a situation of duress, especially for the educators who know the testing is flawed, and the students are more flawed. You have teachers tasked with the chore of passing kids who have been neglected and passed for years. And threatening their careers if they cant undo years of damage in a few months time in prep for an exam that doesnt even coincide with the stipulated curriculum. Its insane!

You realize that nothing he said described a learning disability right? If someone is in the 6th grade and reading at a 3rd grade level it most likely means nobody gave a fuck about educating him and just pushed him through to the next grade. It doesn't mean he's incapable of learning. Special education was created to permanently handicap black children so they could perpetuate the stereotype they created of black children being less capable of learning at a normal rate than whites.
I have an ex with a 6 year old niece who's mother was always working, or at school, or coming up with some other reason not to spend time with her. Up until kindergarten she was in daycare and basically just watched tv all day. When she started kindergarten they grilled her mother about why a 6 year old can't count to 10 or why she doesn't know colors or the alphabet(forget about reading). I she dumb? Is she incapable of learning? No. She just hasn't been taught.
This is one of the bedrock principles of white supremacy: keep people from learning anything and then say they have an inherent inability to learn.

The kid went to two elementary schools because his neighborhood was rezoned & what he was learning at his original school wasn't carried on at the new school and he fell behind without anyone caring to prevent him from falling back that far behind. Then he has a sorry ass mom that isn't helping him when he's at home. I have the kid in a reading tutoring program twice a week, we go over the stuff when he leaves, but he has homework to do for the second session...he gets there & the teacher is telling me how atrociously lazy his work is and filled with errors. No way an adult helped him or checked his work before he turns it in.
Every parent, with the exception of one, are jumping for joy over these convictions, because it lets them off the hook.
Not one banker went to jail for the crash....not one for the documentation fraud that was rampant during the subprime economy killer...

I dont disagree with that. However there is a fundamental thing wrong with the contract with the teachers union. At least in the Northeast.....bad teachers CANNOT be fired. They have tenure you cannot fire them no matter how bad they are. Shit is disgusting

If the student is not able to keep up and the parents are not able teach their kid/s to read. Then what is wrong with that kid receiving special education?
If you kill someone and I kill someone....does me being a murderer somehow absolve you from being one? No. Quit all of the justification for this bullshit. You can say they were teaching for their jobs...well they could have moved to teach in better districts, reported this to a higher body,the Feds, etc. They didn't HAVE to participate. And AGAIN they were instructed to take the plea. I think we can all agree that those fines and probation were lenient as hell. If you looked some weren't even required to lose their jobs. I didn't even see revocation of their licenses in the those penalties. But let me guess they HAD to take it to trial too Huh?
