Assassin's Creed X Box 360 /PS3 Video Review

Everybody is saying this game is gon be the shit, I don't know why 1up.com hated on it. Gave it a 7.0 or something like that...

too bad about the AI

but i'll believe them when they say that everything else makes up for it

cant wait

It's getting a few bad reviews and some mediocre ones. The biggest complaint that I see is that it's way too repetitive and nothing changes from the 1st kill to the last. It seems that once you get used to how good the game looks there are some shortcomings.

Yo.. don't hate me for this but I got an early copy of Assassin's Creed the other night and the game IS THE SHIT... has to be top 4 best games i've played.

Im so disapointed with how this game turned out. Although it looks fantastic the reviewer pointed out how repetitive this game is. I expected a lot more from this. im putting this back in for Mass effect

This is starting to look less and less like a must-buy. For 60 bucks, I'm beggining to become far more discriminating on how I spend my videogame budget. The parkour (or freerunning) is cool as shit, and the game looks gorgeous, but the AI, and only being 12-15 hours long? I dunno, this could be rental territory...

i think the games gonna be good but i feel a lot of people where hoping for some second coming of jesus type shit and got let down because of it o well :smh:

sounds like it

same happened with heavenly sword

everyone complained about it being short, didnt the review say there were only 6 missions in assasins creed?

if its short thats ok as long as its good

its not a shooter and may open the way for more game like it

I"m sure i wont be dissapointed

Well, I traded in my PS3 last week and got $320 for it. I paid $350 for it over the summer (hook up) so I figure I got my $30 worth.

So I'm buying this game cause fuck it, it's free for me. The graphics are sick though...

Hmm I might wait to get this game, and just get Mass Effect now... I want to get it still but looks like it's not a must have..

Assassin's Creed Review at TeamXbox: 7.9

On the off-chance you thought 1Up was pulling a traffic stunt by low balling Assassin's Creed with a 7, TeamXbox gave the game around the same score. Here's one of the reasons why:

This is what I call a “kitchen sink game,” where it gets harder and harder until the point that everything gets thrown at you, seemingly in an effort by the developers to keep you at arm’s length from finishing. There’s little reason to do this these days, because of the large storage capacity of game systems, but some designers think this is the best approach to making a challenging game. I feel that games like BioShock prove that you don’t have to make a title where only the elite can win anymore, and that it’s rewarding to run the player through a lot of story and action scenarios, and put up enough resistance to keep them engaged. They don’t have to die dozens of times against seemingly insurmountable odds to taste success...provided they get there before quitting or hitting exhaustion.

Rub your eyes - PS3 owners get better Assassin's Creed frame rate than 360

Gamespot has completed its review on this year's 'must have' title that is Assassin's Creed. They comment that there are few differences between the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, but the PS3 title has a better frame rate but the Xbox 360 has greater contrast in the lighting. Even still, it's good to hear a PS3 game being praised for its superior frame rate.

quote:

There are few differences between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate, although the 360 version features a little more contrast in the lighting, so it's pretty much a wash. But regardless of which platform you go with, you'll have an amazing and unforgettable game. Assassin's Creed is the kind of game you tell your friends about, and one that should be in your collection.

Its aight. It does get repetitive after a while its def on Heavenly Swords level...some may like it, others may get bored.

As for Mass Effect, I got that too. Its a wierd ass game. From what I gathered its posed ot be a RPG and a shooter crossed..but after playing COD4 for a while then playing this..its confusing as hell. Its aight ima still try and get the hang of it.
