Arrow on CW

CW really cast nothing but fine women, watching this crossover like the whole lineup fine from all 4 shows

That why the executive producer got into trouble and got fired...he was like a kid in a candy store - all of those goodies - he just had to get a taste every now and then.

The thing bout this whole scenario is that many of these actresses want fame and the roles early on and will do anything for them but once they are put on, they no longer want to put out - so the enthusiasm they showed early on fades and its not - stay away from me -

Classic example is Tisha Campbell in Spike Lee's School Daze - Spike told her that there was a nude scene and if she had a problem with it - she said no problem. Then she kept putting off the nude scene - finally after weeks of shooting - Spike said we are going to do the scene and she said NO and he was stuck because he had weeks of film with her and could not replace her - so no nude scene with Tisha Campbell

A few years later, Do the Right Thing - Rosie Perez nude scene was filmed right up front - Lesson Learned

Interesting...

You aint wrong

Yeah me neither. The entire team like emotional bitches. Hell somebody on the team stitched. Oliver has every right to spy on them to find the rat.

A little frustrating episode.

We knew IMMEDIATELY who the snitch was.

The spying thing is garbage

Like they forget the JUST had snitches on the team last year

Shouldn't Felicity do a security sweep for bugs after EVERY break in?

Rene... that didn't make sense

Lance Dig and Olivier are PRECISELY the reason he even has visitation with his daughter

Amd Dinah, meeting the enemy talking about trust?

Somehow they have managed to make Curtis completely unlikable.

But all that being said?

Great legion of doom ending.

I think it will be a situation where Oliver knew about the bug in the Arrow lair and this tear the team apart is all a master plan -

The funny thing is that Oliver and his crew hangout outside of their Costume - so you have this short guy - A really tall black guy, a well built guy and a woman in a little mask and catsuit -

then you see Oliver Queen, with him Rene, Curtis, Diggle and the female detective...an FBI agent doesnt need much to add A + B = C

I predict that Oliver will do the old " I am Arrow" bit before the end of the season.

Yeah I know.

Just wish it was something different

Cause Prometheus was fun as hell to watch every week, with no idea what was going to happen

I'm just tired of the whole Oliver as Mayor story anyway

and I'm tied of his son being a little bitch......in the comics he actually becomes the green arrow. so how does he get from bitching about his daddy being the arrow to him being the arrow

It makes you wonder,if they should of had the Prometheus storyline for the last season, because I don't think we will ever get a season like that again.....

NEVER again..

it just happened to be the perfect storm

the cast the acting the writing the fight scenes EVERYTHING...

the twists the turns...

and that dude who played Prometheus...should be nominated for an Emmy

I dislike Terrific now I don't like Mad Dog

hell even Canary getting on my nerves a litlle

I ope at the end of the season they just CLEAN house.

and have like an Arrow Team up season.

Huntress, Constantine, Deathstroke, Ragman, Flash, etc....

They need to bring back Ragman and Huntress back....

:fuckyousay::fuckyousay::fuckyousay::fuckyousay::fuckyousay::fuckyousay:

I hope the FBI arc ends soon, because it doesn't need to be there at all :smh:

Hey isnt vigilante a punisher like character? Why would he team up with murderers against the heroes?

Btw them secret cameras in their hq getting kinda crowded, merlyn has hidden cameras installed there too or is that a different base from that time.

They gotta stop reusing the same plots over again. Slade had secret cameras, then merlyn, and now this new team of villians.

I never liked these new team members, I've been wanting Huntress back and hope they bring in Nightwing and the Question. Also would want Thea back in action like her better than all 3 new team members

Mt. Terrific has GOT to go.

I just can't with this brother

(who seems to be a good actor)

but this is just NOT working for me.

You make a good point, he does seem like a good actor. I feel like the development for his role is building better but it isn’t enough.

I would’ve put money on Diggle and Dyna hooking up. I’m glad they didn’t. It’s probable that Arrow could be on the back burner compared to the other shows but it will probably be back again.

Yeah I think that guy is ACTUALLY good...

they just f*ed up his whole introduction...

a fake Black Cisco?

No need to make him gay...it was forced and it looked uncomfortable watching him on screen It just didn't feel
right

and the the afro into braids in like 2 minutes?

It just didn't and doesn't work

We STILL don;t know who the hell he IS...

Except annoying.

Oliver gave him the cold shoulder? WHEN???

He was actually being nice to him even after the haircut comment...

He has become irritating.

The rest of the team makes NO sense

Wild-dog betrays the people who HELPED HIM GET HIS DAUGHTER BACK IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

DINAH WAS LYING AND KEEPING SECRETS (about a MURDERING VIGILANTE) TOO!!!

and they ALL still BLAME the TEAM..

cause they were RIGHT not to trust these disloyal muthafukas?

:hithead:

OK enough of THAT...

The fact the show runner didn't put Dig and Dinah together is a travesty...

f*ck story line

those 2 just had AMAZING chemistry on screen

and they didn't even NEED to have sex

just the flirtation

and a kiss because they were undercover as a couple.

and having Layla JEALOUS?

Would have been GREAT TV.

@playahaitian afro to braids in 2 minutes:lol: I know!!!

Yeah the Diggle & Dina chemistry was serious.

One other thing I dont understand is why Felicity didn’t just call up her pops to help with hacks and trying to figure shit out.

Oliver deciding to put the team on surveillance was some bullshit by the writers.

For all of his flaws, I like Oliver in the role of hero trainer BUT his team went from getting their asses kicked to simply maintaining in some fights. Since im pointing out other inconsistencies, as much as I dug last season...Oliver should have been able to beat Chase consistently. As the head of the league of shadows, he fought cats deadlier than Chase.

...shit I’m getting tired. The inconsistencies are getting a bit tiring to point out.

I pretty much have given Arrow a mulligan.

cause this aint good...

nope not good at all.

But Prometheus season was such a masterpiece?

Imma let this one slide.

But they testing me.

this is NOT good.

That's why I said earlier in the thread that they should of saved Prometheus as the final villain before they went off air..

You forgot that Chase was trained by Talia Al Ghul

Dinah and Diggle must either be married or in a relationship in real life

And their significant others saw them fireworks on screen?

And shut ALL that shit down with the quickness.

Ok the Arrow logic will give you migraines...

but I I think Chase ALSO being trained by Ra's daughter AND being a psycho ...

And Olivier always having to hold himself back over some guilt.

I could understand it

You know you right, ALL OF IT was bullshit

HOWEVER how Ollie spy on you and CATCH you doing bad..

and you mad at Ollie?

f*ck all tree o dem...

:lol::lol::lol:

He should have never been on this show. He would be perfect on Black Lightning minus the gayness. DC wasted a great character.

^^^^

GREAT POINT

He would have been a great teacher or tech guy on THAT show.

and really don;t care if he played gay or is gay in real life.

Curtis is the most uncomfortable gay men on TV today...

I swear its like the producers DID NOT tell him the character was going to go in that direction before hiring him or something.

On top of that...Cisco didn’t design some type of a outgoing/incoming transmission or signal monitor?

^^^^^

Boom.

You know that is one of the little things can really ruin a show

We know this all pretend we got a contract to suspend belief

But another very important part of that contract is to not be assholes and insult our intelligence

Ok the flash can suddenly pause time in the court room a handy skill to be sure

Before we can even yell bullshit...

Iris asks how u do this?

Barry/writers?

I have no idea, but that's not important now.

And u know what?

We as a Sci fi comic book audience?

Will COMPLETELY accept that.

But something as ass backwards as reverb thru the bug?

Gtfoh.

Why The CW Needs To Cancel Arrow

It’s hard to believe that only a few years ago, the idea of a superhero TV series was pretty unusual, and that Arrowwas the only major DC/Marvel series on the air (in live action). Arrow took advantage of the huge success of superheros on the big screen, bringing a lesser-known DC hero to TV: Oliver Queen, a.k.a. Green Arrow (Stephen Amell). A relatively straightforward origin story, Arrow told two parallel tales: Oliver’s time ‘on the island’, and his life after he returned to Star City to become a masked vigilante.

It was a fantastic concept, helped in no small part by the stunningly handsome leading man, and one that quickly gained popularity and success. With Arrow doing so well, the CW expanded their DC TV universe, adding the spin-off The Flash, quickly followed by Legends of Tomorrow. In addition, the network took on Supergirl after a poor first season on CBS, folded the character of Constantine (Matt Ryan) into the Arrowverse after that series was canceled on NBC, and has now picked up Black Lightning, a series originally intended for Fox.

RELATED: 16 THINGS EVERYONE GETS WRONG ABOUT GREEN ARROW

In many ways, it seems that the Arrowverse can do no wrong, as it continues to expand, win awards, and pull in viewers… but the show that started it all is no longer the jewel in the DCTV crown. Instead, Arrow has been slowly losing viewers and recycling old stories… and with the Arrowverse growing every season, it’s time to retire Oliver Queen and create space for something new.

THE FIRST FIVE YEARS

A lot of the current issues with Arrow come down to the simple fact that the original premise has been wrapped up, and it doesn’t know where else to go. The first five seasons of Arrow charted Oliver Queen’s journey to becoming a hero – both his training on the island (and off it), and his forays into superhero-dom in Star City. It was the kind of origin story that fans loved, but with that wrapped up by the end of season 5, Oliver is left without many places to go. Now Oliver is an established superhero in Star City, with an ever-changing team behind him, and his identity has been revealed to everyone that he loves.

A lot of the tension of the first five years came from surprises: the reveal that Oliver wasn’t actually on the island for the full five years, the moments where his loved ones discovered his identity, the will-they-won’t-they dynamic between Oliver and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett-Rickards), the deaths of major players… all things that have now been essentially dealt with. The other major change is in the viewers themselves; at a point in time where there was no contest, Arrow was fantastic simply by being a superhero show. Now, with heroes bursting onto the screen on every network, and multiple new heroes joining the ranks of the small screen every season, simply being a kick-ass hero isn’t enough to keep Arrow alive.

ARROW HAS LOST ITS EDGE

It doesn’t seem like Arrow is going to be able to re-gain the success of its early years. Oliver’s origin story has been well and truly told, his family members have all been explored (and his secrets revealed), and we’re left with a show that has started to become extremely repetitive. Season 6 has already seen several old storylines trotted back out, and it’s simply no longer thrilling. Oliver’s identity is revealed! Diggle (David Ramsey) has to take his place under the hood! A teammate has betrayed him! He doesn’t totally trust his team! There may be a new big bad on the horizon, but so far, season 6 has been extremely stale.

Oliver continues to make the same mistakes – mistakes that should have been resolved through the Prometheus storyline in season 5. His relationship with Felicity is also bordering on boring, as it’s only really possible to have so many break-ups and make-ups before fans just start rolling their eyes at the whole thing. While it’s still exciting to see Team Arrow join forces with the rest of the Arrowverse in the now-annual crossovers, these are now the high points of the series – as the ratings prove. Arrow saw a 29% drop in its overall season 5, followed by a further 17% drop in ratings for season 6 so far. However, the crossovers marked a season high for Arrow, with a whopping 200% rise for Crisis on Earth-Xeven though that’s still a 31% drop from last year’s crossover episode.

TIME TO RIDE OFF INTO THE SUNSET

Although we already know that Arrow has a seventh season on the way despite falling ratings, the series really needs to wrap things up with that season – and an eighth season is simply unnecessary. At this point, Oliver’s story feels complete, and it’s time for him to (finally) marry Felicity and settle in with her and William (Jack Moore). He’s increasingly finding that he can clean up his city through his work in politics – something that he will risk losing if he continues to work as the Green Arrow. His most recent team has separated, and bringing in another new team starts to make Arrow seem not just repetitive, but cluttered. Oliver has learned his lessons, and it’s time for him to hang up the hood and move on.

The seventh season provides the perfect vehicle to wrap things up, as well. Season 6’s ensemble of villains and his recent issues with the team seem to be guiding Oliver toward the long-overdue realization that he cannot continue to try and be the biggest hero in Star City; it’s time to pass the torch. Season 7 could be a perfect farewell to Arrow, as Oliver and Felicity get their happy ending, as the other heroes of the city take their rightful places out of the shadow of the Green Arrow, and the lessons that Oliver has learned are cemented as he says goodbye.
Why The CW Needs To Cancel Arrow

BLACK LIGHTNING AND THE FUTURE OF THE CW
Aside from the argument that Arrow needs to wrap up or risk becoming a bore, there’s another reason that it’s time for Oliver Queen to step down – he needs to let other heroes take his place. The Arrowverse has started to grow to an unmanageable size, with five separate series over three worlds (Supergirl and Black Lightning both existing separate to the main universe, in different ways). Fans want to see more characters brought to life, more diverse heroes, more teams led by women and POC, but if none of the existing shows are canceled, the Arrowverse will become too crowded to sucessfully manage that.

The best option would be to allow series like Arrow to bow out, so that new, more original series can take its place. In the same way that Legends of Tomorrow has a rotating ensemble cast to help the team dynamics stay fresh (and allow for deaths with real impact), the Arrowverse as a whole could benefit from some rotation; older or less unusual series replaced by more novel offerings or lesser-known heroes. The existing heroes of Arrow would still have the option to pop up for cameos and the massive crossover events that fans love, but don’t need to have full seasons once the core story is told.

WHO COULD TAKE OLIVER QUEEN’S PLACE?
Should the CW decide to kill off Arrow after season 7, there are some fantastic options for new series to take its place. One option is to create another direct spin-off with an existing character, like Black Canary (Juliana Harvaky), whose portrayal in Arrow so far has been a major disappointment to fans of the comics. Canary could also open the door to a Birds of Prey series; a female-fronted team up that could have a very different feel to Supergirl, the CW’s other female-fronted super-show.

Another option would be to make good on all the Green Lantern Easter Eggs that the series has dropped over the past six seasons, and finally introduce some of the Green Lantern mythology to the Arrowverse. The Hal Jordan version of the character already has a long-standing bromance with Green Arrow in the comics, as well, which would mean a Green Lantern introduction in season 7 would be a perfect opportunity for a little comic fan-service, and would leave plenty of space for future team ups.

Of course, it seems that despite the falling ratings, Arrow is still enough of a success for the CW that they may continue to force the show to continue until it becomes utterly untenable… but we’re hoping that that’s not the case. As the show that launched the recent wave of superhero TV, Arrow deserves to have a proper send-off, and not a slow and painful death.
