Arian Foster finally spoke with the media Wednesday.

Sort of.

The star running back returned to practice after missing two sessions with an undisclosed injury. Following a 2.5-hour workout, the sixth-year Texan answered questions.

Barely.

An intentionally tight-lipped Foster gave almost the same exact mundane response to every query.

I’m just trying to be the best teammate I can be,” he said.

No matter what reporters asked, Foster responded with the same generality.

“I’m just out here working hard every single day, just trying to be the best teammate I can be,” he said.

He added: “Being with your teammates and being the best teammate you can be, that’s what you strive to do, so that’s what I’m out here doing.”

When a reporter asked Foster if he was making progress being the best teammate he can be, the running back didn’t budge.

“Yeah, you know, every single day I’m just trying to be a better teammate,” he said.

Foster was then asked about screaming fans showing support for the Texans during camp. Wednesday’s practice was open to the public.

“Yeah, man, I’m just out here trying to be the best teammate I can be,” he said. “I’m going to continue doing that.”

Did Foster feel better physically Wednesday, after missing two practices?

“Yeah, man, I’m just out here trying to be the best teammate I can be and I’m just going to continue working hard doing that,” he said.

Not even the possibility of promoting his brother’s new workout facility could get Foster to change his stance.

“Yeah, just every single day, man, just working hard trying to be the best teammate I can be,” he said.

When the interview ended, Foster sarcastically wished the media well.

“Y’all take care,” he said.

It marked the first time the three-time Pro Bowler has officially spoken with Texans media since the 2013 season ended. Foster declined interview requests throughout offseason workouts and had refused to speak during the initial days of training camp.

Foster suffered a season-ending back injury last season. In January,*he was involved in an off-the-field situation*that placed the mercurial athlete in the center of TMZ headlines.

Some Texans, including J. J. Watt, have limited their answers as they adapt to coach Bill O’Brien’s new system.

Foster’s responses Wednesday took the less-is-more approach to a new level.

:roflmao:

Dude HATES the Houston media. Nothing against the coaching staff or teammates, he just hates the local media with a passion.

When that shit jumped off with that white girl that had his baby a reporter pulled up in his driveway unannounced to try n get his side of the story. Arian didn't take to well to that...... Pretty much since then he's been :hmm: with them being brief and as short as possible with all his answers.

Of course, THEY are mad

I'll post the audio when it becomes available......

I love it. The media was talking shit about him yesterday when he left practice after an alleged injury. I bet he caught wind of that. They were saying dude is unreliable and won't ever be the same when everyone knows that Kubiak ran dude into the ground :smh: I hope he comes back and wreck this season.

This, and he's probably still pissed about them showing up on his doorstep wanting to talk about that other bitch last year. I always laugh when the people in the media feel like athletes OWE them something. It was like when Tiger was going through his shit. Cats in the media were like, "He owes us an explanation!", and Barkley was like, "Tiger don't owe y'all a damn thing!"

a reporter's worst nightmare.......aint got shit to write on
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Nah man....

This is a reporter's WET DREAM because they can speculate and write whatever they want.

Case in point:

Dale Robertson writes for the Houston Chronicle sports section. He's SPECULATING that Arian's response was a shot at new head coach Bill O'Brien and his "team first" mantra. Because as he puts it, Arian is such an individual that he's putting it out there that Arian is unhappy and feels his individuality is being suppressed. Another writer, John McClain, called into a radio show and IMMEDIATELY deaded that noise and said it's not about the team or him taking shots at the coach. This is PERSONAL and he just doesn't like the Houston media.

If you listen to the guys talk when interviewed they say a lot of cliché, canned responses. One of the second year players (Ben Jones I think) did the same exact thing on TV but he smiled while doing it. Jadeveon Clowney did the same thing also and gave the same answer like 3 or 4 times straight while being questioned about his sports hernia surgery.

But Arian is a ASSHOLE. And that reporter rolling up to his crib advertising his house where he and his family live ON TELEVISION to question him about his side BITCH still pisses him off and I don't blame him. So fuck them let them be mad. I don't care to hear any athletes opinion on ANYTHING. As far as I'm concerned they don't ever have to talk. Hit the field n do your job. That's all I care about.

How is Jadeveon Clowney looking in camp....

Those ESPN anchors were salty as hell after that clip :smh:

Just like the "journalists" on NFL AM this morning.

Man fuck them....

Arian has been a fairly durable running back. Last year was his first time really being hampered by injury. And that was after he had a combined 600 touches the previous year. Besides last year, he had only missed 3 games in 3 years!

The media did him wrong last year n crucified him. And the "fans" followed suit, calling him names, questioning his effort, proposing trades, all kinds of silly shit.

Then the shit popped off with the side piece and it just continued. And just think for a minute how FUCKED UP this situation is:

A news reporter shows up unannounced, at your home where you live with your wife and kids, to question you about a side piece you got pregnant.

Really??!?! After all of this you expect shit to just be cool and we talk like old friends? Nah fuck that.....

Yeah, that shit was mad foul. :smh:
Back in the day, the media would have left that alone and let Arian and his wife handle that.
Now, the media wants to publicize everything and turn it into TMZ.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

They do though lol. When you do shit like this you give them ammo. Now they're gonna speculate and come up with a few articles. It would've been better if he just told them to go fuck themselves. You can only get one article out of that.
