Apple Keynote & iPhone X

Man I miss that dude. I can see it now. Divine would say something about using Face ID for Apple Pay and someone would ask him why doesn't he use Apple Pay for his child support he keeps missing.

Need and want are two different things. My last few devices have been stock android. Prior to that, i had the Edge 6. I never felt i needed to change anything, but just for the fun of it, and because i was ABLE to, i did root, and mess around with different launchers and themes. That's the good thing about android, you can do what you want with YOUR device.

That good thing about mobile computing is you choose what device features & freedoms you want in a device.

Android gives you all the flexibility in the world but you can't disable HTC Sense or Touchwiz.

I've had the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, S6 and S7. I've put Nova Launcher on all of them because it gives a huge amount of customization.

I get you're trying to shit on Samsung phones but you need to do a better job of it. Would you like a do over?

I'm pointing out Touchwiz is a joke, no do over needed.

3 Galaxy users in this thread stated that they use a different launcher on a device that you're boasting about into an Apple thread.

If you've had those previous stock Android devices then you already know the downsides of Touchwiz and how it cripples Galaxy devices.

It is still running in the background on your system no matter how much you try to customize a different launcher, because it in itself is an OS, which is why the devices begin to lag.

Just because Samsung has the best hardware out doesn't mean that the most important part (software) makes it the best device.

You're running a full OS, with two different interfaces programs running. Good thing you've got all that ram on your mobile.

You're using another application to manage the interface that Touchwiz is managing for Android?

That sounds really efficient.

One thing you're forced to do is have Touchwiz running in the background.

It isn't.
It's their choice to continue to be inefficient. These guys really believe they're pioneers living off the land.

The freedom?

Fuck are those guys talking about?

Cool enough. The phone game is really just sjeumorphically dragging us along slowly. What they have is far along enough, yet still far back enough to keep brining in new users

You two are interesting to say the least. Seriously both of you are on some "I hate Samsung" bullshit in 2017 and instead of just outright saying that you hate Samsung phones you two losers are doing this weird thing were you talk about the people that have or like Samsung phones. Its fascinating cause in this day and age to still be doing that is some classic no pussy so you mad kind of mentality.

Always amazed at the shit that brings out the socially awkward crowd.

You're assuming that I hate Samsung because I'm calling you on your nonsense.

I love Samsung hardware because they make the best and have the best R&D.

I hate Touchwiz because it kills the beauty that Matias designed.

What is interesting is in this day and age people coming into Apple threads to knock Apple, classic of some no pussy so you mad mentality.

I'm never surprised at the people that are socially awkward, especially those that think they're smarter than others based off their preference in a mobile device.

I'm loyal to no one but my pocket book. Had Google not priced the Pixel so high, I would still have a stock Android device.

I also don't recall anyone in this thread saying anything about Samsung users however you did.:dunno:

Yep if you want to record 4k60fps video. That shit will eat up memory FAST.
I have had my 6S for almost 2 years. I have no more than a handful of files.

I know they want me to think I'm getting a deal by getting the 256, but I just can't imagine needing that much space.

the iphone is now a black muslim?

hoping I'm the first to make that joke

What????

Yes I know explaining a joke makes it not funny but this one is going so far over my head it might be on a plane.

I will wait for the new iteration after the iphone x. When they dropping ios 11?

but Apple phones are priced just as high. These new ones (the X) are even higher, and will probably be higher than the Pixel XL 2.

To be honest, this phone seems like they just took a bunch of old features and put them in this new device. I'm not trolling here, but can any of you Apple users (see, i'm not even gonna call you sheep or anything else disrespectful) please tell me why/if they see this phone as groundbreaking. Wireless charging, 2 extra hours of battery, a new emoji system (couldn't this just be an OS upgrade?), and facial recognition, front camera now supports portrait mode (wtf? should also be an OS upgrade). This could have all been done in the last couple of iphones.

Agreed, I made the decision that if the device I really wanted was charging a premium device that I might as well try a different platform.

With the Pixel I was paying for the user experience but they were trying to charge me for premium hardware.

Apple are some pricks for their pricing, especially on notebooks.

Nothing is ground breaking about the hardware for this device on face surface.

I don't recall anything being ground breaking for any device besides the s-pen and that is now a few years old.

The implementation of the hardware and software is the device impressive, possibly ground breaking.

I don't use Snapchat but check out how the face filter is applied to the guy at the 2:25 mark (click video)

Having the ability to create a talking emoji with your voice in real time is extremely impressive and will create an entire new ecosystem.

This will drive even more users to iMessage.

There is nothing that Google has that compares to iMessage and this drives more people to that platform.

Being able to record in 4k @ 60fps is the thing I'm most impressed with, especially considering the fact that Samsung Note 8 doesn't do that.
