This is a good resource, even if you don't have elders to look out for. It gives you an idea of what you need to do to plan for yourself and what information of yours you need to make sure is available for your loved ones, should they suddenly become responsible for your affairs. I didn't come across the book it until mom was in her final stages, but I wish I had had it way before hand in preparation. It's best to have the hard discussions when one is not in the midst of crisis. It's also a lot easier to organize in advance instead of having to find important documents and information when one may not be capable of guiding you to them.

I know there are those who’ve been here since the 90s. Like someone before me said, we’re like a family and I do care about the members of this online family. Threads like this are difficult, just in the not knowing.
What do you all think of a buddy system?
In other words, where you link up through DM with a few people you trust and respect and share contact info. Then when threads like this appear, one’s contacts can do a wellness check, check out their social media, give them a call or whatever and if the person is ok report back here, if they have passed, then we can know that too.

I hope he's alright. I think Covid has silently taken away a few members from here. KingTaharqa used to post several times a day but stopped without saying anything. Quek9 disappeared too.
