Alien Covenant sucked ass.

Movie is really slow paced

Slow. No character development. I felt nothing for these people.

They were supposed to continue the story of from Prometheus but since so many people complained about the lack of "Xenomorphs" in the film, so they decided to scrap the original premise and slap both ideas together - A movie that gives you some Prometheus but gives you the Xenomorph horror. They failed miserably on the Xeno-horror part and Prometheus continuation was a let down.

What you ended up with was a muddled mess that took out the wonder and mystery of Prometheus and seemed like a rush to show deaths without any real meaning.

The end was just a mess and didn't push forward the story in any way.

It's already on Kodi. But, what do you expect from a series that died after the second one decades ago????

I like Prometheus. It gave a very "Lost tv show" vibe. You were left wondering...there is no "wonder" in this film. It seems badly put together. No climax at all.

James Franco was basically a GIF in the movie

I just want one Aliens movie where the people going to the planet already know what the deal is. I'm tired of watching the same sequence of people walking up on eggs and face-huggers and not knowing well enough to drop a grenade and run. That's literally the first act of the last few movies. They may change up some the details but that's basically all that happens.
I want a Aliens movie where the marines going to the planet know what xenomorphs are and come out shooting.

Damn. Was looking forward to this. Muthafucka!! Fuck it, I'm still going on Saturday to see it. Fuck dis thread!! :crying::crying::crying:

Man… fuck that. I enjoyed it. I'm a fan of the series despite it's bad ones. Without giving anything away, this movie is about one main character and the xenomorph mythology. Everything else is just filler. And for that, I thoroughly enjoy it.

Does it take long for shit to break bad?

Won't see this movie anytime soon, but there would be scenes in a trailer that's won't show up in the movie.

Hey I don't care about spoilers. This isn't that type of movie I get a slasher vibe from it. If it's the part where the alien busting his head trying to get into the cockpit I'm.gonna be PISSED

Wasn't that kind of Aliens though. The Gung ho, band of over confident space Marines go in and get fucked up???

Please... I enjoyed it. The fuck do you dudes want? This movie was full of white folks being stupid, dying by the teeth and claws of actual aliens, and a fucking killer android. That is quentisential aliens. If you're looking for cinematic master piece, you went to the wrong movie.

Exactly. So if it isn't "Aliens" it's a terrible movie. There will never be another alien franchise movie as good as "Aliens", just like there will never be another Predators or Terminator franchise movie better than those films originals and first sequel. If you're going into these newer movies trying to expand on the story, expecting something as good as those early films, your expectations are way too high.

I get that this and Prometheus weren't supposed to be that kind of Aliens movie but that doesn't help the franchise. And it hurts the 'smarter' Aliens movie logic as well because we have two movies in a row of 'scientists' dying as a direct result of their own stupidity.

I would just love a Aliens movie where the Weyland company tells the people going to the planet what they can expect. Hell if they would just be honest with people, they might actually get their hands on a xenomorph for once.

some ppl aint'neva gonna learn. fuck it. go pay your money and experience that bullshit for yourself. call it a classic and create a holiday around it but in the end. IT WAS PURE BULLSHIT! /thread.

The kind of Movie with direction? This had none. Let me see. Let's go to a planet "Star Trek style" where BECAUSE the readings say it's a better fit for us because of it's "Earthlike" atmosphere and climate it's a great place to set down and walk around UNPROTECTED.

Because...you know...there is no such thing as biohazards on our own planet Earth like Malaria, S.A.R.S, Pig Flu, Flesh Eating Bacteria or a whole other host of diseases you can get just by being in different environments.

Let's abandon the story from Prometheus (or at least water it down) to some convoluted story about how an Android didn't like his maker (which by the way could have been a whole movie on it's own) but lets just scrap that shit and add in "Xenomorph deaths" with characters that you NEVER really got to know, so their deaths were pretty soulless because the characters are expendable as fuck.

The original Alien was a game of hide and seek with an Alien that refused to die. Much like Predator, this was a force of from Hell that before the crew knew what they were actually dealing with, they were wiped out save for one person. We felt the fear. We felt the hopelessness. This? None of that. The last act of the movie was anticlimactic. The plot twist? We already knew (Because we were told what was happening during that "fight sequence") and just like that...the movie ends. Nothing to bring the story further....no BIG reveal...just....meh....

those are online to create the back story for the characters.

And if you didn't see those? The movie was wack and a big let down and I love Aliens 1-3...I thought part 3 was a great departure but captured a lot of the WTF feeling from the earlier films.
