Where can I find some of the affluent black neighborhoods in or around Atlanta that aren't gated?

I'm not looking to move but I do want to see how well some people are doing.

Buckhead It's Alot of Rich Blacks That Live Out There.

Jonesboro (Henry County)
Alpharetta

- yeah, I use to have a little young'n I would blend from time to time down there...nothing but suburbs filled with black folks...got a little gutter down there the last time i visited though!:lol:

South folton, Camp creek area is coming up real nice from middle to upper middle class and so on.

South Fulton area, off camp creek road is fine. My subdivision is cool but there are some foreclosures which is making me uneasy about the home values.

My advise to you, look for a non subdivision property. An all black subdivision will not appreciate up to your expectation. I know I will get flamed but the truth hurts and I am feeling it right now. I am hoping to dump my shit and buy an old house with land and seriously remodel it.

I heard about that. I heard that Break In's are on the rise over there. Is that true?

Nothing abnormal. I have never experienced it and neither has any of my neighbors. My subdivision is from the 300s to 700s , so that may make a difference.

Na homie I'm just trying to see some black folks that are doing well.

The area where I am is nice but it's mainly white folks.

I checked out South Dekalb Mall

NorthLake was a bunch of Indians with a few black folks.

What gym is there besides LA Fitness here?

4) I'm not a nigga

I'm off Camp Creek too. There are a lot off nice subdivisions around here from all kinds of price ranges.

They did have a rash of robberies in certain neighborhoods last year off Camp Creek. The people got caught by a security cam a home owner had set up.

It was a mother driving around her son and his friends from school. Instead of being in school they were cutting class while she drove them around. Her son and friends would kick in the back door, steal what they could and leave. Then take the stuff to a pawn shop and pawn it.

Big ups to my homies in this thread from the Camp Creek area and Cascade too(I see you Femme). If you are tired of the crowd at the Publix on Camp Creek, check out the new one on South Fulton Parkway going away from I-285

Eagles Landing in Henry County. Some Black and White there. Off of Cascade is Real nice. I know Creflo used to stay over there and also 2Short. All black over there, last I saw houses where going for up to 2 mil but that was a few years ago.Hapeville is up and coming too.

Real talk Henry County would be choice #1, followed closely by some parts of Lithonia. I'm more of a country cat so they suit my needs. If you looking for a more city feel, go over to Buckhead.

My folk just purchased a home on 4 acres and an auto garage out back out in Henry county and the white dude was so ready to leave he included 2 antique pickup trucks and at least 50K worth of auto mechanic tools in the deal for nothing.

Im about to move in midtown asap gas and the fact once your exit 2 you dont feel like heading back intown

Not surprised.. I really hope that Camp Creek can sustain its current image but I wont be surprised if its shit in a few years. Unfortunately with Section 8 housing comes some real fucked up Section 8 tenants, and Camp Creek has plenty for sure, I was once Section 8 so I aint passing judgment but its true. Therefore, Camp Creek should not be mentioned as "Affluent" maybe "Nice" but not affluent. Again, I vote for Henry County

Cobb County biatch...............You get a good blend of black/white/latino/mexicano/huevo. It's cool, crime is low, but property in east cobb is expensive. You could get something just as nice, if not nicer in dekalb or fulton of maybe clayton, but you might have to deal with crime. Just my 2.

Colin Powell alert!!!!

i have some things to do so i don't have time to proof read or anything, holla

CASCADE CASCADE CASCADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nothing like it in Atl, real talk.

This shyt is lovely, Cascade, New Hope all these side streets off the new Cascade (the 285 Cascade not the i-20 part). I'm not bigging it up caz i live here, i've wanted to stay out here since the 90s and it finally happened a couple years ago. It's peaceful, i pull into publix and there's like 10 benz's in the lot, a couple range rovers, and 50 lexus's. Everybody is laidback with there shyt, most cats don't ride rhems over here, just our luxury cars. When i got my Lexus i wanted to ride with the music all loud and shyt but i saw nobody else was riding like that so i never let the music bump around here, just a comfortable level. I was in quiznos the other day, i heard some guy asking this girl how her parents were and he asked how old she was, she said i'm 17 now, she was pushing a benz. this is black money out here. Nice houses, great property value very little if any section 8. no offense to section 8 but it brings too many ignorant people to the hoods. I stayed in new big house suburbs off Old National, Riverdale, and Decatur. I have friends in those areas, the unfortunate thing is inside these nice neighborhoods the kids are want to be thugs, they have gangs in black neighborhoods with starting prices $300,000 new homes. In Cascade these kids are smart, good kids, u look at them and see nerds with a little bit of coolness to them. When i stayed in College Park, they had blacks with money but they were so ghetto and their kids tried to be ghetto, too much noise and shyt, too many wild ngz. I'm from the hip hop generation but i'm happy to see tennis courts full of blacks. On Cascade you see blacks walking for sports, playing tennis, playing golf, walking with their family, church going people, etc........ i don't play golf or tennis but i'd rather see my peoples doing that than hanging out on the block plotting on crime against their own people. Cascade is southwest Atlanta and south west gets a bad rap on the news but the majority of it ain't happening on Cascade. The only rowdy shyt happening is fri/sat. around applebee's, u might catch somebody racing in Bentley's during the late night, you might run-into a few celebs here and there.

If your looking for fun and dining, Cascade lacks alot of that but u ain't too far from all that, and long as Cascade can remain peaceful and clean I can do without the night life options.

O yeah much props to the new Camp Creek area!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just telling my sister a couple months ago, how i was proud of the new Camp Creek area---she's been stayn in Cali for about 6 years. I told her about the camp creek market area, all the new homes and building in that area. Much business out there! the new part of campbellton is nice also. I moved to atl in 92. This guy told me back in the day the black money was on Cascade but the greenbriar area was suppose to be Cascade's sister. Cascade was suppose to be the 70,000 benz and greenbriar was suppose to be a 50,000 bmw, well with all the crime, low income apartments, section 8 and things the greenbriar area fell off, they still have some very nice hoods, and quiet hoods but all the apartments and section 8 housing messed up that area. But, their trying to bring it back.

Cascade

And several areas in Stone Mountain

Definite co-sign. Cascade was my first pic. A piece of Glenwood, a pieces of Campbellton and go out into Covington and/or Lithonia.

However, I am firm believer in taking white neighborhoods over: Paces Ferry, Mt. Paran, Riverside, Northside, Habersham, Moore's Mill Road, Heard's Ferry, Johnson's Ferry etc. That's just me, though.

Chump ass nigga, where am I from?... And I got your next line already lined up for you, "but Im from bankhead!"

I could be gettin' my areas wrong but one of my girls from back in the day lives in Edgewood, I guess like right of Cyclorama or Grant Park exit.

Oh, and to your Johnson's Ferry and Habersham statement:lol: That sh!t is funny, but you right. That's why we gotta TAKE it.

Just about every county has some type of black affluence. It is all about preference. If I were you, I would pick a spot close to your job with gas prices being the way that they are. If that doesnt do it for you, pick a place where you dont have to travel 30 miles to and from to go out and spend your free time such as shopping, going out to dinner, movies etc.

Co-sign. I live in Cascade and I frequent the Camp Creek area. But damn if every neighborhood has some elite black neighborhood.

I remember driving my father around Atlanta neighborhoods and he was just floored.

Get you a navigation system bruh and just cruise.
