I try to smile when I approach people and have noticed that women generally respond more favorably than men. However, there have been plenty of exceptions.

It all depends on the setting when you talk about black women having an negative behavior. I would hope if its just opening the door nobody would respond in a negative manor regardless of race. For me it take more than just a smile and thank you ... i take eye contact and arm movements into consideration too.

At least you didn't pursue that nonsense about typical. The point is, you guys are always saying black women do this negative behavior when the evidence is contrary. i.e. The whole BW don't say thank you when you hold the door for them.

I open doors and smile all the time ( i just dgaf like that ) i like to see folks smile ( just feels good in my world)and I can say in my experience black & white old & young smile back & say thanx but I get some funny style from all of dem but moreso young black females , I get it from young white females too but moreso ybf !!

Opening the door is one thing but your initial response didn't seem like it was coupled with just opening the door but in all instances when people smile at you. In my experiences thats a typical result from a BW to which i was referring too not just opening door part so i should have made that clearer.

I never said i don't like BW i'm just not making any effort to initiate / open up a conversation with them UNLESS i notice something extremely different about them or they show me some type of indicator. I love BW but i've come to a point where i'm just tried of the attitude & i'm not taking the time out to deal with it. I know how to read both males and females i can tell when somebody has an attitude even before they open their mouth. In my world as i see it now its up to the females to show me some type of indicator that makes me want to approach them. I just don't get that from BW nowadays so i keep it moving.

You know me too well to know how i respond to people smiling at me. Smiling at me triggers in me that you want something. Which puts me on guard which makes me suspicious. Which then makes me evasive. And sees you smiling suckas as a threat.

I'm a man, but women try to game with that smiling shit too. A lot of people don't trust people who smile. I'm into sales, and sales people know this. They're teaching sales people not to smile as much, keep it serious.

I don't have a problem with smiles... as long as you aint asking for anything.
