I wouldn't compare either to be honest. G-Unit dudes had 1 album deep. Juvie, BG, Wayne all had CAREERS.
I was only comparing the early years... i should have been more specific.

I never said Maybach was irrelevant... I said... They were ICE-COLD... meaning... Nobody's popping right now... meaning, nobody has a REAL banger out right now... and that Ross and Puffy and the rest are still trying to squeeze the last little bit of juice out of B.I.G.'s legacy to stay relevant.... AND.... Where's MayBach's version of G-Unit... Triple Cheese at???...NOW... That doesn't mean that they're done. Shit... All it takes is ONE song...
![]()
BUT... the same rules apply to 50.... All it takes is ONE song...and he's right back where he was.
As far as Future, FREEBAND, Chief Keef ...etc... If you follow this shit like you say you do, then, you know these dudes are ON FIRE right now... whether we like them or not... and if Meek, Wale, Stalley and whomever else don't get on their job, them same dudes are squeeze them out of the game... Fat Trell is smart... He connected with Keef early, which broadens his fan base... To your point about Kendrick... I know how he did it... He got on his grizzly... AND... he's nice...Combine that with a dope song with Dre... And there you have it. J.Cole... I'm not surprised either... and Macklemore... He's a whiteboy...
As for your Football analogy... I look at it from a franchise point of view... I compare Ross and the Maybach brand to the Panthers... or the Bengals... good teams... shit... very good teams... but... NO RINGS... and in the music business... platinum albums are RINGS.
Whereas, 50... is your boy, Jerry Jones...
... and while the product on the field may lack... Cowboys stock is going up...
... and Thisis50.com is his Jerry World... aka... Manning Municipal Stadium...
As far as Wale goes... It's simple... HE'S WACK AS FUCK!!!!![]()

Listen...
I just think his time is over.
You think all it takes is one song for Ja Rule also?
I think 50 has tried many, many times, with good songs too, its just not his "space" at the moment.![]()

Listen...
ANY ARTIST... in ANY GENRE.... is ONE hit record away from the top...
We don't look at it like that in hip hop because hip hop is STILL relatively young...
BUT... it's not impossible....
Ja-Rule already had a comeback... LL had like 2 or 3 comebacks.
All it takes is one song...
Dayumm Stoute hit him with that ether that shit that make your soul burn slow.

50 Cent Confronts Steve Stoute At MSG & The Two Have A Heated Exchange
patrickhazel | March 2, 2014 | 0 Comments
The beef was real at MSG on Friday night..
50 Cent, Steve Stoute, Tanning of America, MSG, Hot 9750 Cent let Steve Stoute know how he really felt on Friday night at the Knicks and Warriors game at MSG. At least thats what it looks like.
To be honest, both sides have valid points. 50 feels some type of way because he did drop the timeless Get Rich Or Die Trying album, along with the classic follow-up The Massacre. Those two albums from 2003 and 2005 shot 50 to superstardom and he was untouchable back in those days.
That is Stoute’s biggest beef with the Queens rapper, that it has been a while since 50 dropped a track that was critically acclaimed. In the documentary, “The Tanning of America,” which aired last week on VH1 and is based on the book he authored, Stoute gave us a run-through of the highlights of hip-hop influence in it’s origins and prime. When asked about 50′s influence on hip-hop during an interview on Hot 97, Stoute made it known that he doesn’t believe 50 is influential anymore. The comments stem from the fact that 50 hasn’t had a hit track since the 2007 banger, “I Get Money.”
“He hasn’t had a hit in a really long time,” Stoute said. “I mean, he has not made anything musically that’s changed anything in a very long time. And I feel like he’s always like gearing up for something that never happens. Hopefully, now that he’s independent and there’s no record company to blame, his aggressive content can get on the air…I think he’s trying to get back, but those guys—you know, music is a great platform. If you’re an entrepreneur and you have a—you’re currently active making music. You’re currently active touching people with albums. That it makes it much easier for you to venture into business deals that will become successful using the music to parlay it to get it done. And without having any music that’s meaningful over the last—probably the last great song he’s made was ‘I Get Money’. Kanye’s put out three albums, four albums since then.”

No matter how you look at it, you have to admit that Stoute is giving 50 a dose of the truth. 50 has been slacking in the music department and he hasn’t dropped a memorable track in over seven years. Was Stoute trying to give 50 a push in the right direction or is this straight shade?
Whatever the case, 50 didn’t waste any time and got right into Stoute’s face at MSG on Friday night. He throws his finger in Stoute’s face and made his opinion heard loud and clear. To be honest, Stoute doesn’t look like he backed down at all in the photos. Good for him, and hopefully this gives 50 some added motivation to hopefully drop a hot track one of these days.

he's back on one! You're wrong people but into not only songs but artists. If Solange released the identical album that Beyonce recently released it would've flopped.
It's only partly about the music, 50 has made good mixtapes over the last few years but the public doesn't give a shit about his music. His time is over and much of it doesn't have to do with the music.

If people were into artists so much... then why have there been sooooo many ONE-HIT wonders in the last 15 years...
... and the difference between Solange and Beyonce is... Solange never had the fan base of Beyonce to begin with... but... A hit is a hit.
I mean... Look at Pharell... He was gone from the charts for a second then...BAM... He's back...
Look at Sade... She was gone for a minute... then... BAM... She came back with Soldier of Love...
1 hot joint will put 50 right back in position...![]()
He won't even admit that Ross got out of his "career ender" tactics. He won't even admit that Ross got out of his "career ender" tactics.

That's cause he didn't, Reid & Iovine had to stop him for going for his neck. After that video of Khalid's Moma at work & home...the shit stopped. Dude ended his career beefing with Interscope & Iovine.
He never recovered from that & by rushing to get off the label he fucked over BISD for Curtis, which allowed Kanye to really turn him into a villain. I remember seeing hoes at Best Buy buying multiple copies of Graduation just to help dude win an imaginary race. He had a hit off Curtis, but the damage was done with the consumer. He pigeon holed himself by not working with other artists when he was hot, cause he really had nobody to help get him hot again. Timbaland took JT over to Jay & the rest is history
What's crazy is the shit Ross gets credit for is the same thing 50 did with Young Buck & Game...only those dudes sold & made millions.

He's responsible for messing up New York hip hop in my eyes, like you said he would not feature anyone. I understand how brands work but this dude had all of the light and didn't share, now its all coming back but the only thing is he was rewarded all through his run.
Its just all funny to see this dude in this situation after all of the stuff he was doing to people. He's responsible for messing up New York hip hop in my eyes, like you said he would not feature anyone. I understand how brands work but this dude had all of the light and didn't share, now its all coming back but the only thing is he was rewarded all through his run.

The anti-Jay...whether it's viewed as opportunistic or not, Jay know when to hop on a feature. That helped keep him hot. 50 made too many enemies & not enough allies. You know it had to kill his ego to be a NY guy, dropping a big release on 9/11 only to have Ye turn it into a competition![]()
That is true they should have been Gold easy!
.Wait
MMG is the untouchable empire lead by Diddy.

I can't......Y'all play dumb when it comes to MMG.
![]()
We gonna act like Kendrick ain't backed by Interscope and Aftermath or had pop hits. Y'all win man.Its going through one ear and out the other.
![]()

The only reason 50 is done musically is because Hip Hop fans are fickle and the shelf life of most artists is 3-5 years. It's usually not about the music, Hip Hop fans just move on.
Thank u for holdin down the MMG empire
I'm here to take the reigns and ride on these fuck niggas

You trying to take the reigns and ride off a cliff and shit......I was only comparing the early years... i should have been more specific.

Anyone else notice the chess game going on?
50 cents came out and beef with everyone (Jay, Diddy, Cash money etc)
Those are Ross main supporters and crew. He survive something he should not have and currently enjoys the support of these guys who who rather run with him, than a 50 cent
Interesting

should have, huh?
Wale has a career
Meek has a career
Stalley has a career
Tony Yayo and Banks![]()
....

Stalley has a career but Banks doesn't........
...AND... Wale, Meek and even Stalley had careers BEFORE Ross...
