Yeah but the climate has changed from 2013-2014 from 2005 or 2006 when G-Unit was on top. 50 himself can't even go gold anymore or drop a album. Make no mistake though G-Unit was a MONSTER in its prime.

You're right but we can only judge the past albums of all of the artists mentioned. Shit Young Thug's more relevant than 50 and the rest of G-Unit but I was speaking about their success.

Well I won't sit here and say Stalley is the biggest thing out. To me Stalley is in the same vein as Talib Kweli and niggas like that. He's never going to be a big seller. He's not marketable. His style isn't marketable. He's not ignorant. The qualities he excels at aren't something that's going to be accepted by the mainstream similar to Big Krit. Signing with the MMG Brand opened him up to more doors to get into more venues and more features and a wider range of producers and better music videos. But album sales wise? He's Joe Budden. Trinidad James and Young Thug.....they're ignorant enough to at the very least have a hit single on the charts.

Not sure about that. It would depend on the city and hip hop scene. The majority of people, don't know who the fuck Stalley is.

I have an issue when people say "Marketable". Are Lil Wayne, Rick Ross or Drake "Marketable"? I say no.

Making music that masses like and are able to hear is what places you in the "Market".

And before anyone challenges me on saying Drake's not marketable look at his background. Mixed kid who's Jewish, grew up in Canada and was a teen actor on a teen drama trying to enter the rap game isn't exactly "Marketable". His music and his eventual music connections made him "Marketable".

I STRONGLY disagree. All 3 of those cats are marketable. Rick Ross markets himself as this drug king pin living this lavish lifestyle.....as proof by buying Evander Holyfields house. That's his whole lifestyle he's marketing for himself.

All of these guys, Drake, Rozay and Wayne....they all have this charisma about them. Jeezy has it too. 2 Chainz has it. Stalley doesn't have that. Some would describe him as "boring". Same goes for Royce Da 5'9.

You know a prime example of someone who's not "marketable" but makes hit songs like you suggest? That's Flo Rida and to a much lesser extent that dude Mims who made "This is Why I'm Hot". Labels can't market them. Atlantic doesn't even try to market Flo Rida as a artist. They let the music speak for itself which is why he can't sell any records. But that's because they know he's not marketable.

I'm talking about the venues that fit the 600-1000 people in it. He won't fill a arena or no shit like that but if he comes to your city people will show up. Yayo couldn't do that. But that's because Yayo is garbage and its a credit to Curtis for tricking 500,000 people into buying his album. :lol:

But i'm not gonna put Yayo out there like he was a flagship artist at G-Unit. He was a tax write-off. I do think most of those guys could fill a show up like Banks. Buck I suppose could too. But them wack niggas like Hot Rod and Yayo? Hell naw. :lol:

As far as record sales is concern, we live in the YouTube/download era ;)

Yayo was NOT about his business, which is why he could not survive on his own. Stalley operates more like an independent artist on MMG. Dude was financing his own videos, Ross liked his hustle and signed him.

Yayo was not about his OWN business and faded out of the rap game and 50-eyes. Curtis got tired of carrying that bum Go on youtube and take a look at Stalley and Yayo's pages. One of them is one top of their business MMG made cure of that
