No what happens to our team is despite all of that shit we are in a position to win and we don't because Roman chokes.
5 yards away from a super bowl trophy and he can't call a run nor call plays in on time.
2 yards away today both Jim and Kap said that the passing calls were not plays that kap changed to passing plays they were the plays roman called.
you can name all of that stuff and then look and say if roman could simply use all the talent on this team and make simple adjustments that aren't that hard we'd damn near be 7-1 right now or at least 6-2 and have a super bowl trophy on top of that

I totally agree with you on this!!..every fuckin year..we will be close and we usually choke cause of the offensive play calling...

Unless Harbaugh proves he has the balls his brother does and fires his incompetent offensive coordinator, then I don't think we have a shot at the post season.
Even with that being said, our O-line will not improve overnight.... especially with a rookie center playing, in over his head.
Basically right now, we are competing with the Seahawks, Eagles/Cowboys, for that last wild card slot.

I think Martin will be fine. He missed a couple of blocks but overall he snapped the ball perfectly and he was a force in run blocking. we actually ran the ball pretty damn good we just decided to NOT do it consistently and continue to call 9 step drops and run long developing routes when they were blitzing 80% of the time. when the last time we played them we did the OPPOSITE of that and called quick hitters against the blitz and ate them up.
i think iupati has to be benched. our best line is staley boon martin looney and davis
and mike solari is trash.

Our whole approach to the game is that of a loser, you can see it in our opening drive when our goal is always to get a fg, when was the last time we was up 7 zip with us scoring a offensive td? Then we drag the game out, running deep in the count so we can run out the clock, running plays designed to get 4 yards max, so we can milk out the clock even more our plan is to keep the game close by shortening the game, the problem is thkat we suck at close games...
We actually play much better with an uptempo game and when we are forced to get away from that 4 yard routs..

Another thing no one is talking about, is that one of the big claim to fame that Habs is supposed to be great at is developing young talent... Over the last three years, we had more picks than anyone, this is saying a lot after last years bunker crop, but out of all of those picks only a few of them actually contributed to the club... And out of them, most actually regressed after a hot start..
We build almost strictly through the draft, and yet some of the biggest moves made by us over the past two years, were through trades (Boldin and Smith).
If we aren't properly developing talent, not calling a good game, not signing free agents, not a good special teams club, you have to ask the question what the fuck are we doing, out there..

1st we seemingly turned a corner this year and actually we're top 6 in most points scored on opening drives this season even with a bye...
the play calling was suspect it's really as simple as that. its not the team its not the players its the o.c.
jim needs to fire him. yes jim is responsible for the way the offense is going and not changing it sooner. but we don't approach the game to lose we have an o.c. who can't do the little things. he has the keys to a corvette and can't drive a stick shift.

Reid is ok, not as good as last year, A. Smith had a super first year and regressed a little last year, and Lynch are good.. The rest of them are ok no pro-bowlers and most of them will go back on the bench once we get healthy.. But with all those picks and the people we turned down, we should have more than that...

Reid is every bit as good as last year. We're playing single high safety more this year so his responsibility has changed to covering the entire back end.. notice no deep shots against us while Bathea gets to roam inside and come up to run support and get those intermediate tackles and again without MUCH of a pass rush..

Aldon didn't regress at all last year what are you talking about?
he missed 5 games and still led the team in sacks for the season and was an absolute beast in the playoff games.. he was a difference maker and is a complete olb.

With all the good picks we had we should have more success... To me its like they throw shit on the wall and hope it sticks, with out doing anything to develop the talent.. Look at all the wr's we drafted, what have they done? All the running backs, what have they done, all the linebackers and defensive line men.. Then you go around the league and you see 1st, 2nd and 3rd year players contributing all around the league.. Over the last two year the Bleacher report has given us a C+ and a C for our rookie class (last years draft and so far this season), with all the picks we accumulated and with the fact that we refuse to spend money on free agency, C and C+ just isn't cutting it..
More success for us is closing the deal that's it. you can't front like we haven't been to 3 straight nfc championships and a super bowl because we have.
any team would kill for that type of success. the only other team to do it is the patriots over this 3 year run.
now if we had an oc who could do the little things OR if our defense was up to par and not injured during the super bowl run we'd have 1 ring at least and things wouldn't seem so bad.

All the areas that needed addressing since the superbowl has either remain the same or gotten worse, our special teams is still abysmal (our kick back defense is decant, but when was the last time we ever got more than 20 yards in any return, maybe after a kick back, but even there we usually get under 20), our offensive line has gotten worse, WR numbers are almost identical, this is inspite getting a shit load of WR's, depth at running back actually has gotten worse, tight ends much worse, qb the same, corner backs the same, linebackers core should be deeper, but we are still running J. Smith to the ground at dt and expect him to be there for us in the playoffs...
In short we may have talent from the draft, but most of it is being used to patch up holes not actually make our team any better from that superbowl team...

1. I said we need to fire roman way back when Alex smith was the qb and everyone called ME crazy for saying it was him and not Alex smith.
2. gore and hyde are effective together. in our 4 wins we average 28 rushes in our 4 losses we average 13 you do the math.
Next Hyde is fast enough he can break it outside and he is an excellent pass catcher
we don't know any of this because just like EVERY OTHER PIECE OF THE PUZZLE THAT WE HAVE HE NEVER GETS USED.

From that excellent break down it looks like 2 possibly could have been plays kap could have made and only 1 did he have happy feet and didn't trust the pocket when it was OK.

just like i suspected were on the Line not giving him time. you see in the breakdown how he made all the right reads how he didn't throw the bait passes that would have been intercepted meaning he did read coverages correctly he just didn't have time. If the line gives him time he makes some serious plays.
I knew it wasn't Kap from watching the game live, this illustrates it even further.
We need to change some of the calls and the line has to be BETTER so kap can hit his guys for completions like he did in the 1st St. Louis game. thanks for posting this
