Roman don't cause all the injuries, the muff punts, all the none calls, fluke turnovers, and all the other crazy shit that seems to only happen to our team, year after year..
No what happens to our team is despite all of that shit we are in a position to win and we don't because Roman chokes.
5 yards away from a super bowl trophy and he can't call a run nor call plays in on time.
2 yards away today both Jim and Kap said that the passing calls were not plays that kap changed to passing plays they were the plays roman called.
you can name all of that stuff and then look and say if roman could simply use all the talent on this team and make simple adjustments that aren't that hard we'd damn near be 7-1 right now or at least 6-2 and have a super bowl trophy on top of that
the little things.
he is the little things.
Unless Harbaugh proves he has the balls his brother does and fires his incompetent offensive coordinator, then I don't think we have a shot at the post season.
Even with that being said, our O-line will not improve overnight.... especially with a rookie center playing, in over his head.
Basically right now, we are competing with the Seahawks, Eagles/Cowboys, for that last wild card slot.
This pretty much sums up the 49ers season so far.....

Our whole approach to the game is that of a loser, you can see it in our opening drive when our goal is always to get a fg, when was the last time we was up 7 zip with us scoring a offensive td? Then we drag the game out, running deep in the count so we can run out the clock, running plays designed to get 4 yards max, so we can milk out the clock even more our plan is to keep the game close by shortening the game, the problem is thkat we suck at close games...
We actually play much better with an uptempo game and when we are forced to get away from that 4 yard routs..
Blame Roman all you like, but isn't Habs job to direct the O.C. on what type of calls he want called.
Another thing no one is talking about, is that one of the big claim to fame that Habs is supposed to be great at is developing young talent... Over the last three years, we had more picks than anyone, this is saying a lot after last years bunker crop, but out of all of those picks only a few of them actually contributed to the club... And out of them, most actually regressed after a hot start..
We build almost strictly through the draft, and yet some of the biggest moves made by us over the past two years, were through trades (Boldin and Smith).
If we aren't properly developing talent, not calling a good game, not signing free agents, not a good special teams club, you have to ask the question what the fuck are we doing, out there..
That's bullshit
complete bullshit
All of our starters on offense and defense except 3 have been developed talents.
Reid is a top safety
Brock and culliver are doing their thing when they play
cox is a developed talent
how do we have borland come in and have 16 tackles
how do we have whihote in there taking care of bowman's spot and doing a good job and skuta coming in and replacing aldon and doing his job.
how is lynch already making waves
how is macdonald playing at the high level as is ian williams as is dial
how did we turn aldon into what he is right now?
how is kap still growing leaps and bounds.. in BAD games he's completing 67% of passes and leading us down the field for drives that should end in td's
we've grown and developed so much talent over the past 3 years which is why we're not out of it right now
there's not a team that beat us at near full strength that we can say was better than us at our present talent level
and now people will be returning. the offense has to change directions with the coordinator
the defense has been short handed all year and is #2 in the nfl.. think on that.
the offensive line has to be healthy that was the 5th different line combination we've had this year.. we only played 8 games.
continuity that's it from an offensive end that's it.
if not for the shank the rams wouldn't have gotten into our territory. offense just needs to step up and roman needs to go
Reid is ok, not as good as last year, A. Smith had a super first year and regressed a little last year, and Lynch are good.. The rest of them are ok no pro-bowlers and most of them will go back on the bench once we get healthy.. But with all those picks and the people we turned down, we should have more than that...
Not saying we don't have talent, I am saying the talent is good but doesn't seem to be getting better..
With all the good picks we had we should have more success... To me its like they throw shit on the wall and hope it sticks, with out doing anything to develop the talent.. Look at all the wr's we drafted, what have they done? All the running backs, what have they done, all the linebackers and defensive line men.. Then you go around the league and you see 1st, 2nd and 3rd year players contributing all around the league.. Over the last two year the Bleacher report has given us a C+ and a C for our rookie class (last years draft and so far this season), with all the picks we accumulated and with the fact that we refuse to spend money on free agency, C and C+ just isn't cutting it..What????
Reid is every bit as good as last year. We're playing single high safety more this year so his responsibility has changed to covering the entire back end.. notice no deep shots against us while Bathea gets to roam inside and come up to run support and get those intermediate tackles and again without MUCH of a pass rush..
You didn't hear his name 1 time yesterday and that's because he did his job and does it excellently.
Aldon didn't regress at all last year what are you talking about?
he missed 5 games and still led the team in sacks for the season and was an absolute beast in the playoff games.. he was a difference maker and is a complete olb.
And look
you're saying they're OK but no pro bowlers and will go back to the bench once THE MULTIPLE PRO BOWLERS WE HAVE come back.
we're beating teams with who are at full strength with our 2nd team defense across the board basically and you're talking about talent?
let any other team field their 2nd best at majority of the key positions and see them end up #2 defense in the nfl
you're selling the talent way short
this is why its' on roman
the talent is THERE
he has no idea how to use it.
That's bullshit

Going to three strait championships is impressive, but when you go to the superbowl and have a shit load of draft picks there is no way we should have regressed this much even with all the injuries..More success for us is closing the deal that's it. you can't front like we haven't been to 3 straight nfc championships and a super bowl because we have.
any team would kill for that type of success. the only other team to do it is the patriots over this 3 year run.
now if we had an oc who could do the little things OR if our defense was up to par and not injured during the super bowl run we'd have 1 ring at least and things wouldn't seem so bad.
but we didn't so we are where we are.
Road Rage I agreed with you too many times to quote... I been being quiet because I know whatever I say is gonna be countered by LBOP, but fuck it here's my 2cents.
The 49ers are garbage.
Greg Roman As I've been saying for 3 years, Must go.
Frank Gore is cooked and when I said this last year I got met with Boo's. I don't know how the Niners broke camp with him #1 on the depth chart. Hyde is good but his 4.66 and stone hands are not the back that is gonna change our fortunes.
If we don't go for broke to get Marshawn Lynch this off season, you know these niggas is playing games.
Trent Baalke is an asshole penny pinching bitch.
Fire Greg Roman.
Our offensive line is garbage & bringing in Jonathan Martin and starting him is/was an insult to the integrity of anyone who cares about 49ers football.
I hope heads roll this off season.
I'm tired of pretending our field goal determined offense is "good"
Fuck it.
Going to three strait championships is impressive, but when you go to the superbowl and have a shit load of draft picks there is no way we should have regressed this much even with all the injuries..
To me our decline has Habs fingerprints all over it, I say this only because Habs come off to me as being a egotist who likes to do things different just to say ha ha I out smarted you..
His own brother knows this and this is why we found ourselves in such a big hole in the superbowl, with the draft we could need a wr and there be a ton of good ones in the first round and we have good two picks in the 2nd round, what do we do? Do we trade up like a normal team... Nope our asses trade down get a shit load of picks, draft random hoping some of that shit sticks to the wall...
Then its the Tank situation, lord knows I never seen anything so retarded, if freaking Leon Lett could play in the NFL whats the problem with Tank... How complicated is it to rush the qb? The problem is once again that they make something that should be simple very complicated and like Will E Coyote complicated schemes, non of the shit works..
Now there is reports that Staley is complaining about stupid blocking schemes, that, you guessed it, doesn't work.. Are you starting to spot a pattern?
All the areas that needed addressing since the superbowl has either remain the same or gotten worse, our special teams is still abysmal (our kick back defense is decant, but when was the last time we ever got more than 20 yards in any return, maybe after a kick back, but even there we usually get under 20), our offensive line has gotten worse, WR numbers are almost identical, this is inspite getting a shit load of WR's, depth at running back actually has gotten worse, tight ends much worse, qb the same, corner backs the same, linebackers core should be deeper, but we are still running J. Smith to the ground at dt and expect him to be there for us in the playoffs...
In short we may have talent from the draft, but most of it is being used to patch up holes not actually make our team any better from that superbowl team...
Good thread on 49ers webzone, breaking down each & every sack, coaches film

Lattimore retired
all the best to him but bottom line another wasted draft pick
