Actually our recovers are good, its just they are all the same, they can grab the ball even when they look covered, the problem is they always look covered and some of the time the be really covered.

Same shit, diff week, Defense looks Stellar offense does just enough to not lose. conservative shit play calling... im glad we ran well... the lack of consistent downfield passing coupled with an inability to even consistently string together completed positive passes has me worried... I don't know what it is, but they need to fix it... Greg Roman sucks.

Nah man you know how much i hate roman but he called a decent game yesterday. we kept running because the chiefs couldn't stop it.

we took more than a couple shots down the field.

we actually ran a screen pass to gore yesterday.

we gave hyde legit carries and not gimmick ones

we got ellington a few touches

we got stevie 1 on 1 in the red zone.

the pass protection broke down for about 2 series in a row and then corrected it.

we were FAR from conservative.. come on now the fake punt inside our own 30?

And on the last drive the 3rd down play we didn't run a draw to get a field goal we ran a play with a pass to the end zone that was centimeters away from being completed for the game sealing td.

we've got stuff to work on but we did do more than a little bit yesterday

Our style of play leaves very little room for error, and playing that way, especially during the playoffs, can be very dangerous, you'd think after the last three seasons we should get it by now..

We can be explosive. But why not run the ball if they can't stop it? We need to do what they can't stop. You gotta understand we didn't play to barely win yesterday we played to fully win. It didn't work out all the way but we got the w. We did the fake punt we took shots down the field and we didn't have VD. we did the things we had to do to go out there and get a w. the chiefs are a very good team.

But or wr's and pass protection look like shit.. How are you going to make wise decisions as a qb when your getting pressured on every pass while your wr's are blanketed by single man to man cover.

basically. and people wonder why kaep throws rocket passes. it's not because he can't throw the touch pass its because the wr's barely get separation and he has to fit it into tight windows regularly. nobody fits it in tight windows like kap does week in and week out.

you see when he has to throw lob passes like the ones to lloyd and that stevie td he can do that too. but we have to give him those opportunities.

yesterday he stood tall in the pocket the entire game against that dangerous ass pass rush the chiefs have.
kilgore should get a game ball because he handled one of the best interior linemen in football yesterday

Pass protection has been sketchy. It has to improve.

The play design is partially to blame for the blanketing as well. When you call basic routes its easy to cover people.

How many times have we seen 3rd & 6 and everyone runs a curl right at the marker? Short out routes? Quick slants?

Crossing routes, clear outs, bunch formations, etc, have been missing so far this season.

Ellington in the slot, with his speed, running deep up the seem or crossing routes could be dangerous. Yet he isn't even on the field.

Here's something I can say about the deep shots (and I've said this before), if Roman called a consistent run game and knew how to teach play-action properly it would open the back end for deep shots.

It feels so odd having Brandon Lloyd back, it feels like going back in time.

Yup
and especially with vd NOT being healthy it makes more sense to get ellington running down the field instead of getting him in the sweep action.

him running in the open against a db that is just flat out not fast enough to cover him... is going to kill any team we decide to use it on.

Its good to see one of our receivers actually going up to get the ball, because we are loaded with short rout runners who rely on r.a.c yards for production..
If any of you guys watched the redskins hawk game, you would have seen how the skins did not have any success with the short safe passes, the approach we usually take in games, and it wasn't until they decided to challenge their corners deep that they were finally able to move the ball..
At least five times a game a team should just say fuck it, and throw the ball up deep, more good than bad could happen and even if you fail, the defense have to respect the deep ball.. Look at dallas, they often just throw the ball up for grabs deep, even if their wr's are covered, and they get their shares of pass interference, spectacular catches and or sometimes you can catch the db's sleeping, also it often creates running lanes and is one of the reason why Murray is running away with the rb rushing yards..
I have one advice for Roman, Kaep and our wr's roll out right, hitch and go, pump fake, and go deep..

While we are on the subject of our shitty offensive line, check out this post I jacked from a 49ers forum...

Kap threw 30 passes for 17 competions, 9 incompletions, and 4 thrown away. He was sacked 4 times.

The average time from snap to throw was 3.7 seconds.

The average time from snap to throw was 3.1 seconds for completions, 3.4 seconds for incompletes, and 6.0 seconds for balls thrown away.

So much for the idea Kap holds the ball too long, except when he is trying to extend plays. The TD pass to Gore took 6.0 seconds.

The offensive line allowed one or more defenders to breach the line with a clear unobstructed run at the QB in 15 of the 30 pass attempts. 50% of the time. For complete passes, defenders broke through on only 2 of 15 attempts or 13%. On incomplete passes, defenders broke through on 4 of 11 pass attempts, or 36%. On throw aways, defenders broke through on 3 of 4 attempts, or 75%.

The average time for defenders to break through the line was 2.6 seconds.

On Kap’s 4 sackes, the average time for defenders to break through the line was 1.6 seconds. So much for the idea Kap sacks himself by holding the ball too long.

Terms

Snap is when the ball is hiked.

Snap to completion is the time from the hike to the throw ending in a completion, not the time to the catch.

Snape to incomplete is the time from the hike to the throw ending in an incomplete pass.

The number shown is the play number in that series.

I show the last play of each drive, the outcome if the series.

we already knew he was back there doing his thing. those that tried to say he wasn't aren't watching the game

our o line hasn't been 100% healthy all year and we're 6 games in.

but that's what you have depth for

what's interesting is the fact that either our wr's are open or they're covered. there is no scramble play for the most part.

as a wr if you can't get open in 6 seconds what are you doing?

we need ellington out there.

Cowboys just beat the Seahawks tonight
We just need to take care of our business & beat the Rams tomorrow

Hopefully the NFC West Standings will be....
Arizona Cardinals (4-1)
San Francisco 49ers (4-2)
Seattle Seahawks (3-2)
St. Louis Rams (1-4)

:cool::cool::cool:

They've got to hold onto the ball and catch the ball.

vd drops what would have been a big gain

macdonald fumbles on a big gain

boldin misses on some easy throws. the defense is settling down but we need a turnover here and get a td.

we need it right now

Damn fam...
I fell asleep & dosed off
I missed the entire 1st half

I just woke up when a bunch of people sent me texts saying.... "WOW"
Whats been going on so far ???
We're losing against the Rams ???
WTF ???

:smh::smh::smh:

Man, yall see that run by Gore and how Martin blew the tackle on the safty that almost cost us a first down..:smh: I didn't even see who it was and knew it was Martin.
What a pussy!
