49ers

^Let those mofos keep talking about our offense and defense. They are just proving they don't know shit.

The offense came out today and toasted them dudes for 21 points and we didn't even let Gore and Hyde loose yet. It was all passing game.

The defense did their thing early and then backups came in. That's when Dallas got yardage. But early on you saw the Cowboys could do nothing.

There was talk about our secondary but look at Bryant and Witten's day. They got their asses shut down.

We went to prevent we were up so much. which got lynch some action in there some good reps

im just amazed at johnson though
he came in the game and shut that shit down.. he damn near looked like he should just be a starter lol

Yea I did notice the rookie D. Johnson looked good
Especially for coming off the bench in his first ever NFL game
I can see why they activated him over Chris Cook

Yea I don't know why they had BOTH Tank & Dial inactive for the game

And Kaep played really well
Read the defense & went through his progressions faster & looked off the safeties, etc

The coaches need to stop with that conservative playcalling when we have a lead though
Don't take your foot off the gas

C/S..i agree..we can't play like that this year...we need to keep scoring and play hard when we got the lead!!...that conservative play calling is not good!!..:smh::smh:

So what are your thoughts on the defense, last night Bills

you guys just need more time to gel. miller isn't at his best and ware isn't quite there yet. pot roast is in good form. the linebacker core is better than it was last season but you still have a speed problem, russel and kap can still run circles around them if they get outside of the pocket. you guys handled richardson and bradshaw gotta get your weight up to handle lynch, really commit to being stout.. and then when we play you you're gonna have gore + hyde (arian foster + marshawn lynch jr)

secondary is pretty good, talib is the clear star and i think you guys should match him up with the best guy instead of giving him a side, until that rookie gets seasoned. safeties are good

really it's going to come down to scheme and depth for you guys.. can you count on ware and miller staying healthy? and who's behind the nickel cause talib tweaks shit all the time.. you got those things sewed up the offense will do what it needs to do.

you guys like us need to stop playing prevent defense for halves of football. overall you should be encouraged the defense is going to be better this year than last year, just the same problem you had last year is better but not up to par all the way (linebackers) i don't see any afc teams exploiting it at all but the nfc west teams with kap and russell especially kinda will at times. just to extend drives and stuff, not run for 200 yards, but converting 3rd and 8's with 13 yard scrambles is just as bad as breaking one for 50 yards to a defense.

hyde11_zps46cd1895.gif

dude hits the hole

nc95LI8.gif

look at that, it's just too late. you have to play kap you can't crash down so it's just wide open and hyde just hits the hole man.. he just hits it so fast its already too late.

he just belonged didn't he?
:yes: looking like a really good draft class much better than...

LMJ released :smh::smh::smh: watch him go somewhere else and kill.

this one :smh:
but I've always felt we misused him :(
true he didnt fit our scheme but isnt the true form of coaching is coaching and using the talents of your players? Put this guy in an offense where he is targeted like Sporles or Charles I think he do decent

F scheme.

you find out a way to get that talent on the field.

screen passes always work.

up until this offseason it wasnt part of Romans offense. Believe we completed the 3rd lowest amount of passes to RBs in the NFL since 2011. Think we've made an attempt to remedy this since though this year.
Some believe that that James was the "rat/mole" who leaked that Harbaugh had "lost the lockerroom" hence his release.

oh i believe 100% it was him. also believe that it was a lie and HE was just unhappy.

I'm not upset he's gone, just upset we didn't utilize his talents.

however we don't need no bitchassness on this team so he can go on his merry way.

exactly 100% cosign bruh

Meanwhile on the internets the narratives before the game were the cowboys offense is one of the best ever but the defense is atrocious and the Niners will either barely win or barely lose.
Post game its all about the Niners got lucky Romo sucked. They only scored 28... blah blah blah
not that we need the love but no respect for a very hobbled defense and an offense that was on cruise control to go along with very shoddy officiating

i love it. was in here the entire time trying to explain to people how we were not going to struggle. we're not going to struggle at all.. we made those plays happen by confusing romo. they're saying he didn't see the field, no he didn't cause of our complex coverages.

dez was open when he threw it, reid fooled him.

pat willis made a hell of a play it was a bad throw.

dez was 1 on 1 so he thought, cox played his responsibility and made the play.

what did i say about ball hawks and the difference that makes?
so many passes deflected so many passes knocked down. shut dez completely down. the run defense was suspect but that's an easy fix.. just put in dial and tank. the secondary though.. down BOTH starting safeties with 2 rookies out there got it DONE.

2nd half doesn't count to me because we were playing prevent the entire half but dontae came in and shut it down ward was on it all the way. the preparation we have is among the best and it looks like this offense is going to do some real damage.. this is a dangerous team that's being underestimated.

i cannot wait to see gore and hyde just ABUSE people.

I just saw we released LaMichael James today
:eek::eek::eek:

NOW these mofo's wanna cut LMJ.... NOW
Gawd Damn Harbaugh.... you should have kept Glen Winston

:angry::angry::angry:

Since Lattimore is on the PUP list,
He can't even play until week 6
:smh::smh::smh:

And another thing...
Cutting RB Glen Winston was a bad move!

Why is LMJ still on this roster?
1. Glen Winston is a better RB than James
2. Ellington is a better returner than James
3. Plus James has fumble problems with those two dislocated elbows
4. Plus James doesn't really fit our system & is not in our future plans & would probably get cut next season anyway

Winston has the same build as Carlos Hyde
He has vision, enough power to run up the middle, enough speed to bounce to the outside, he even pass protects good from what I saw in the preseason
He's like a raw version of Carlos Hyde
The kid has serious potential

If Glen Winston doesn't make it to the practice squad, this could blow up in the coaches face big time !!!

:smh::smh::smh:

From Page # 68, in this thread

:smh::smh::smh:

i think he was the leak curt. the one leaking shit to the media and talking bout losing the locker room and basically everything in the book to try and create a shitty atmosphere cause he was shitty.

it just became too much.

We have some depth in the secondary, but we still need depth for our linebackers corps, but I think once Trevathan comes back things will be alot better

I like our defensive linemen its pretty solid...Marvin Austin is was steal for us..

But I agree and I been stressing this for 3 years,I don't understand why we have this mentality of being so conservative when we have a big lead,it drives me crazy......

I don't if its coaching, the players or the type of plays they are using, but we will not beat yall or Seattle with that mentality....fans are starting to wake up,because this been a major problem for awhile....We can be up 31-3 and in the first half and when the second half starts we allow teams to come back and we have to hold on for the win.....

We will see when we play yall and Seattle, because I am going to make game threads for both games....If we lose a close game against yall,Im happy, because we took a step in the right direction, but if its a blowout we still need alot of work....

Like I said the other day,I would rather lose against the 49ers than the Seahawks.....I want the Broncos to shut up the Seahawks fans and people like Stephen A up,two weeks from now...:yes::yes:

you guys are headed in the right direction for sure.

as far as the prevent, that's just coaching identity. nothing you can really do about it but complain and hope the coaches stop it.
you guys got a lot to prove as far as the rest of the pundits and talking heads are concerned. you gotta be physical on both sides of the ball.

truthfully all 4 nfc west defenses ore going to give you some tough defensive looks so it'll be a great test each time you play us.

2-2 in the NFC West would be a good for us...

49ers vs Bears Match-up

The Bears will be without two of their starting O-linemen for the game

Center Roberto Garza has a high ankle sprain
Left Guard Matt Slauson has a high ankle sprain
Also, I think Alshon Jeffery has a sore hammy, but I don't see him missing this game

:cool::cool::cool:

The 49ers going forward

Okay just some obvious observations & adjustments going forward...

1. I really hope we get back A.Boone & A.Davis soon
A healthy Boone + Davis will really help solidify that right side
We definitely will need them vs the Cardinals

2. Sometime mid season around the bye week...
I think we really need to think about benching Iupati, if he doesn't step his game up drastically
He was never great in pass protection, but this year hes just really looking bad
Try out Looney or even Johnathan Martin at that left guard spot

3. We need to split Gore & Hyde's carries up evenly 50/50
It's pretty obvious Hyde is a better runner than Gore right now
Hyde has that burst, like a young Frank Gore
Use Frank for pass protection, on obvious passing plays

4. Man I hope Lattimore is healthy & can help us after the bye week
We just need to pickup a decent RB off the street to tide us over for a while

5. Lets pray to god that Blaine Gabbert never sees the field

6. No way in hell we should have BOTH Dial & Carradine inactive for games
Let Dobbs & TJE play more special teams
On obvious passing plays, rotate Tank & Dial in, for RayMac

7. LargeBillsOnly, I know Lemonier is your boy & all but...
I just don't know about him man
He reminds me a little bit of Manny Lawson
Lemonier drives me crazy because he gets off the line so fast, but he gets easily blocked up field and is totally out of the play.
He has his usual quick 1st step but he needs to develop a secondary move/counter move & strength

8. Skuta & Aaron Lynch need to be filling in for Aldon Smith, not Skuta/Lemonier
Lynch has that bull rush & is strong/powerful enough to fight through the block
Also he gets his hands up a lot, to tip balls at the line, like JJ Watt
I think he would work really well with Justin Smith
Lemonier probably needs to backup Brooks on the other side, & use his speed to get past slow right tackles & right guards

9. Reports were Brooks came into camp out of shape
He needs to step his lazy ass up & stop slacking off
He is better than that

10. The MLB position....Lord Jesus help us !!!
Wilhoite is too slow & not athletic enough
He doesn't anticipate plays well enough
Borland is the complete opposite, he's a playmaker
But Borland's youth exposes him to mental lapses & busted coverages, especially in the passing game

11. Lets pray to god that Craig Dahl never sees the field

12. We might miss Brock for the next game
Overall our secondary is decent
Hopefully Ward & Cully can pass the concussion tests & play against the Bears
Johnson was impressive for a rookie
Also no one is really talking about Cox
Cox has stepped his game up this year, he really looks good out there
(Except for that one long bomb pass play completion by Romo. Looked like Cox just miss time his jump b/c he's so short)

:shades::shades::shades:

1. We need both, I wouldn't even mind bringing both of them back and moving looney to iupati's place and trading him before people realize he's regressed mentally.

2. Same thought

3. Yup 50/50 Hyde is going to murder people all year. I think we will see it because Hyde is the same back.. they've been reluctant to give other backs more carries because they felt our offense would have to change some.. not with hyde.

4. I hope he will.

5. He will not.

6. They both need to be in and make an impact

7. For right now it looks like he's an almost player he hasn't turned the corner yet. he always almost get's the sack or the tackle and this isn't an almost league. not giving up on him yet though.

8. Agreed lynch cannot be denied playing time. it's valuable for now and for later in the season when aldon is back

9. Hopefully this was the warm up. next year he might be off the team if lynch keeps improving at this rapid pace.

10. It is time for borland. fuck it.

11. We only suited up 4 cb's that's why he was in the game as a db.. only suited up 4 and 2 got hurt. ward is listed at safety.

12. Johnson is a big db for a reason, this will be a great time for him to be big.. also if brock is inactive that means cook will be called into play another big corner for the bear receivers.

we have so much depth and versatility it's amazing.

6 backups plays against an explosive offense that is probably going to put up 35 points this week and most weeks and we could have realistically held them to 3 points.

keep playing us if you want to.

The 49ers going forward

Excellent post Curt.

Uipati has had 2 bad-ish games in a row now. I'm starting to wonder how much work he actually put in coming off the broken leg. We tend to be very cautious with players coming off of an injury.

I'd like to take a moment to mention Andy Lee "The MVP". Dude put in work on Sunday. He's a 4-time All-Pro that never gets mentioned but he's as consistent as it gets.

Yea man Aaron Lynch is a BEAST !!!
He's still raw right now though
The only thing he needs to do is get after the QB, b/c he's not good dropping back in coverage or setting the edge on running plays

Lemonier is the complete opposite
Lemonier is an all around good LB
He plays the run pretty good & is good in coverage, but is not really a 'sack specialist'
Lemonier is still a good LB though, just like Manny Lawson

From what I remember from Aaron Lynch...
1. He put pressure on Romo to throw that INT to Patrick Willis
2. Also Lynch had a tipped ball during the game
3. Also Lynch teamed up with Justin Smith
They did a stunt where Lynch occupied the O-linemen while Smith went around & sacked Romo again
The scary thing is the coaches hardly even played Lynch during the game, LOL

:D:D:D

You know how Vic is with rookies. You know how he is with everybody. unless you're a 1st round pick you're not gonna get heavy snaps out the gate.. shit only Reid and now ward come to mind, aldon didn't even do that.

but a 5th round pick? Lynch got 21 snaps against the cowboys and he really didn't have to. that should let you know everything you need to know about how they feel about him and his potential.

Corey gotta complete the shit man. he gotta make the tackles and he gotta get the sacks. almost don't count

I just took a look at the Chicago Bears message board
Man these dudes are already waving the white flag
Copy/Paste one of the posts there.....

Here is the problem with the 49ers game, and I am not trying to be a super pessimist.
1. The Bears have not won there in 30 years.
A small losing streak in a city is a coincidence, but 30 years is more than a coincidence.

2. Recent History
Last time the Bears were in San Francisco they were dumped on 32-7 and the 49ers sacked Jason Campbell a million times, that game that ended Gabe Carimi. The time before that was Cutler, unapologetically, throwing 5 ints, 2 in the end zone.

3. The Bears are horrendous against the run
Going back to last season and on the weekend the Bears are horrendous against the run and the 49ers are every bit the rushing team that the Bills are. Expect 190 yards on the ground again.

4. Can't stop the read option
The Bears struggled with the read option that the Bills were running and E.J Manuel is half the athlete that Kaepernick is. In fact Kaepernick might be the best read option QB in the NFL and I expect he will have a ton of yards on the ground as Briggs looks a couple brisket sandwiches slower this season.

5. Opening Levi
The 49ers are opening a new stadium and that place is going to be crazy. The Bears had major miscommunications, Jackson run and the Kyle Williams pick, and that was at home with a dead quiet crowd.

6. 49ers Punish Loose QB Play
The 49ers showed that they will punsih QBs who are careless with the ball and that they can create turnovers. The QB that Cutler gets compared most to is Romo who could not keep the ball out of the 49ers hands all day. The Bears could easily loe the turnover battle again.
