49ers

Last week you activated DL Quinton Dial. Any chance that somebody off one of those reserve lists will be active for the game on Sunday?

"It's possible. There's a chance, yeah."

And who would that be?

"I don't like predicting."

Who's the closest to being game ready?

"The three that are closest are [CB] Eric Wright, [DT] Tank Carradine, and [WR] Mario Manningham."

Just how things are shaping up

At the team’s Wednesday practice in Watford, England, 49ers veteran wideout Mario Manningham scored a touchdown while running with the first-team offense, via Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle. Even though it does not sound like a major occurrence, it was newsworthy.

Returning from a grisly knee injury—having torn two of four ligaments—this was a big deal for the receiver.

Needless to say, his score during the scrimmage was well received. Branch conveyed how fired up the team was over the practice play by Manningham, accentuating their eagerness to get him back in the lineup on game day.

Quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the offensive line and the defense, in particular, have all felt the effects of a hollow receiving corps. They also know what Manningham is capable of, which is the reason they want him back as soon as humanly possible.

To Be Waived: Marlon Moore, WR

Potential Return: Week 10 vs. Carolina Panthers

Aldon Smith's decision to enter an in-patient treatment facility last month will be taken into consideration when it comes time to determine punishment for his transgressions, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said.
The evolution of the NFL:
Take a look at how the NFL has evolved from its humble roots, and the efforts being made to ensure it continues to grow.

"Certainly," Goodell told reporters Saturday, per CSN Bay Area. "The issue here is not to discipline players. The issue here is to stop the behavior. And Aldon, to your point, has voluntarily said, 'I need help.' We are obviously there to support him, and the 49ers did a great job getting him into a facility to try to get that help. And so we all support that. So, yes, it will be factor, for sure."

The San Francisco 49ers' pass rusher entered in-patient treatment for substance abuse last month and remains on the team's reserve/non-football illness list following his September arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Smith also was charged this month with three felony counts of illegal possession of an assault weapon.

Given all the opportunities for potential discipline, Smith's alcohol treatment is a factor, but it won't be the only consideration, especially if he is convicted on the weapons charges.

Kyle is trying his best to give this game away!

:angry::angry::angry:

and baldwin is inactive smfh

the only thing i can say is they're trying to showcase him before we cut him.

this shit don't make no sense. he can't be trusted to run with the ball

or catch a pass that isn't thrown directly to him perfectly.

stop playing fucking zone. its really that simple i don't care if we're up by 28 points

just stop the shit. stop playing zone, teams move it on the zone. stay sharp and stay aggressive don't give them any hope smfh

next half we need to run it and run it down their throats with purpose. don't get relaxed

kyle williams should not even get a ride back to the states.

he should be cut at halftime

my god

His #1 job is to return kicks and he is stinking it up doing that now. How in the hell do you catch a free kick and run out of bounds at the 4??? He's looking worse & worse as the weeks go on. :smh:

i have shat on him from the beginning.

he is shitty.

he is the reason we haven't been to back to back super bowls

he will be a major reason if we do not make it back

kap sees he cannot throw him the ball in any tight situation he will drop it

he cannot catch anything on the run not a pass or a punt he will fumble it.

2 fumbles
2 drops
1 bone head return in 1 half of football.

and baldwin is inactive as well as james...

what more do THE COACHES need to see to get him off the damn field?

he'll start after the bye too and when crab and manningham come back too and in the playoffs too

:smh::smh::smh:

he must have some dirt on the coaching staff

look at this shit.

gave up a touch down.

you don't run the ball regular trying to get cute and you fumble

then on defense you don't catch a pass right to you... and then you don't have the sense to know that they just saw you jump the previous route they're going to pull a double move

this is what happens when you stop respecting a team.

the 3rd quarter has been horrible.

we need a long drive now, run the ball eat the clock get it into like 10 minutes in the 4th quarter and cap it off with a touch down. stop playing with teams.

We officially have an extra 2nd round draft pick. Thank you Kansas City.

Nothing to say about the game. Went down exactly as we all wanted it to. Just get the easy win and escape with no injuries.

As LBOP said, Kyle Williams needs to go. He can't even shine versus the Jaguars. If he's going to be in the game he should be in the slot just running 9 routes. Let me at least use his speed to clear things out for other guys.

he can't catch on the run and that is the #1 requirement for a wr.

he can't block on the edge. i distinctly recall kap going for a pistol run to his side and not getting yards because the person he was supposed to block got free and made kap slide. kap immediately got up and said "come on man shit" live on tv. and then kyle williams comes into view.

also

hunter. 9 rush 84 yards and it wasn't all garbage runs either.

give this dude the edge and he's a damn beast.

defense gets relaxed gave up points but its hard being up by that much so early.

also

skuta had the slowest touch down run ive ever seen by a linebacker.

^ That's why I said just let him be the decoy. I personally don't want him on the field. Once we get our horses back I can see him being benched easily.

I heard Kaep with the scream after the read-option run. Couldn't see that it was Wiliams who missed the block. Waiting to look at the coaches tape but it most likely was him.

Hunter is awesome. He's clearly the #2 back. I want to see James suit up. I Understand it would be hard to get him carries, but he would be effective in the return game and be insurance just in case Gore or Hunter have an equipment malfunction.

Fangio loves to go into relax mode with a lead. He's done the shit against better teams like the Packers in the past. Not sure why in the hell he does this.

Skuta's TD looked like a slow-motion replay. I must have yelled GO about 400 times.

Kyle might get cut and I can't make a good argument to keep him he isn't a rookie.

Baldwin clearly is better than Kyle.

We gave hunter touches and he was a beast we need to give him more runs and not just gimmick runs and screens too.

James can suit up and return i can accept that. damn shame anthony dixon had a better return day than kyle williams.

Fangio.. I don't know. Zone.. just stop it. Teams can handle zone they can't handle man to man. and we need to generate more pressure

Pat is back in top form now, watch out nfl, he was flying, hitting, forcing fumbles

and once again Nobody throws it to Reid's side.

On that one play that they broke to Whitner's side Reid actually made it over to cut the angle before Whitner could

and they hit us with bs calls today too but they didn't make a difference. rogers continues to get torched by slot wr's and everyone continues to act like it's not happening.

they show replays and he's on skates out there, not covering anyone just out there out of position and chasing.

Brock got beat on the double move but I can excuse that I GUESS he can't gamble like that anymore. he should have had the interception on the play before. Hopefully he pays attention to the tape and doesn't do that anymore when he doesn't have safety help

Skuta I don't see how he scored... to be honest i was just like oh ok good run... and then he kept going and going and i just sat there stoic...as he scored the td and then walked off

I swear Kyle Williams pops must have some dirt on the 49ers or somethin. He hasn't really done shit as a 49er :smh::smh:

stop playing fucking zone i mean damn

how hard is it to be aggressive for the whole game?

That's how I feel, but I understand why we play zone yesterday against the Redskins...

It seems like our defense is getting back to form finally....

punk ass jaguars trying to rip face masks off after the play and shit we need to destroy these dudes.

The league need to sent a letter to the Jaguars about them playing...

Hitting Manning on the knees way after he threw the ball.....Can't believe they didn't call no penalties on that bullshit....:smh::smh:

With us, we're up by 30 points and they call the dogs off. Thing is we get our rookies some good work so It's not all bad I guess. I want us to practice playing hard for 60 minutes, on the other hand I appreciate them taking care of business early and our offense putting it in the end zone.

the offense is coming and its looking like my prediction about the team might be coming true

Yesterday kap got tackled and the jaguar defender came in and tried to take his helmet off rip it clean off... and didn't even draw a face mask penalty

Are the 49ers doing anything at the trading deadline.....

If we do it'll be on the offensive side of the ball.

Dial is playing Aldon will be back, Tank will be back, Eric Wright will be back, so we're set there. There are rumors of us going after Jared Allen but we'll see

K.C. won yesterday getting to 8 wins which turns that 3rd round pick to a 2nd rounder so we might be using that if we do try something
