i predict houston will win 45 games next year

Nah man 50+ again.

Who in the west got significantly better? All the top teams stayed the same (OKC SAS LAC) and the east is now wide open. We got better defensively on the perimeter. If we can shore up the front court and T Jones continues to develop we will be just as good as last year

Dirk knows what's up

Personally I wouldn't have done it but Dirk knew we weren't getting any allstars

Never will be until he is gone

Paycut helped us at least improve the team cuz we needed every dollar we can get

Got to overpay players just to come to Dallas or find bargains like Monta

So basically Parsons is making the money Dirk should be making and Dirk is making the money Parsons should be making but if Dirk is cool with that as he obviously is then we as fans have to roll with it too

I think it's foolish but he is loyal to Cuban so that's on him

As of today the Mavericks are a better team than we were last year

Not going to win a championship again but we will at least get back to that 50+ win team we have been all these years

He's loyal to the point that he is sacrificing greatly improving his legacy. Much like Bosh, he'd have been perfect for Houston.

I hate to go king t on people but DAMN it's funny to me that Houston is considered as STRIKING OUT this year...... Okay cool......what about the WINS we've had the past 2 years.??

Got harden on the cheap and convinced Howard to leave Hollywood.

But because bosh chose to resign with Miami we lost? Never mind the fact we had deals in place cap space available and what is seen by some as a verbal commitment from bosh to play here.... Nah we lost. Part of winning is luck and we all know luck is preparedness plus opportunity. We had both but just weren't lucky this time.

Rockets my boys though thick n thin in rocket red even if I don't have Comcast to watch them  #rednation BITCHES

Nigga you lost bosh parsons and Lin and asik. How could you think you're going to win the same amount of games when everyone from last years seeding got better? Even Phoenix is better.

cause your coach is so bad you need supreme talent to possibly do more than just make the playoffs

and even that..as scott brooks shows isn't enough to win it all.

that's why.

if you landed bosh you have a team that mchale himself can't even fuck up.

McHale might be a bad situational coach but since he's been here his record improved in the win column every year.

I just think he needs better coaches around him. Losing Kelvin Sampson right before the playoffs to u of h hurt us. That's y we went after Lionel Hollins to sit on the bench with McHale.

Let's be real harden and Parsons cost us that series last year against Portland. If them guys show up the first 4 games and compliment what Howard was doing we advance EASILY

Bro, I'm a realistic Rockets fan that don't drink the cool aid. This is McHale's last year on his contract and once he looks like another idiot this year, there will be another coach here. Not matching Parsons gives options to add a key piece next season along with a coach who knows what to do. I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff Van Gundy show strong interest, he still lives in Houston & he's dropped hints that he wants to coach again if the situation is right.

ya I don't follow the rockets that much...ariza kinda covers parsons...can't remember if asik played that much or how much lin contributed...so idk how much they need to account for them but would like to know how the rockets will offset those players lossed

I think if Dirk went to Houston they would be the best team in the NBA

But Dirk would never do that

Dirks legacy is set though

He did it and in his true prime lacked that consistent Allstar sidekick like most superstars had the luxury of having

Mavs did it by having a bunch of good players and only one great player

Paying heavy tax dollars to do so

:lol::roflmao2:

Wait a minute

PHOENIX IS BETTER?!?!?!!

phoenix has 7 point guards under contract and the Morris twins. what the hell are u smoking???

Lin is a turn over machine and is HIGHLY over rated. Parsons is good offensively but completely disappeared in the playoffs. He's also over rated defensively.

We didn't lose bosh because we never HAD bosh

Asik is the one that hurts.

I should not even respond though.... This dude said PHOENIX got better

you do know james harden had more turnovers than lin.

McHale might be a bad situational coach but since he's been here his record improved in the win column every year.

Every year he's been there he's gone from having scraps to having James harden to having dwight howard

if his wins didn't improve he should've been fired with the shit they been giving him :lol:

I can see that happening. Mchale ain't gonna get better
it's just a matter of if the players decide to get better.

Even before we got harden we still over achieved n almost made the playoffs.

He's not the best coach but he ain't garbage either

Man I watched every Rockets game last year and people forget that Asik barely played the season with all his pouting and fake injuries, the Rockets played just fine without that nigga. I also find it funny how everybody was roasting Lin as overrated but as soon as the Rockets ship his ass, niggas act like the Rockets gave away Gary Payton in his prime. Lin had to go with his high turnovers and no defense witch is a terrible match with Harden.

Nick Johnson can't be any worse than Lin from what I've seen so far. The Rockets got better defensively with their additions. They still aint winning shit with McHale but at least I don't have to worry about niggas like Corey Brewer dropping 50 on them again this year

Nah man he garbage

yall don't have a defensive or offensive system.

that's like really the only thing a coach should have..

at least that

Your point?

Is this supposed to mean something? He got over paid by a dumbass owner!

Get yo money young man!

Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Oh please. You were just celebrating your owner about to overpay for Bosh and abotu to keep Parsons. When Morey lost out on Bosh his soul and life was ruined lol. Went from going ALL IN to stepping the fuck back.

Basically y'all traded Lin, Asik and Parsons for Trevor Ariza. The same guy y'all couldn't WAIT to leave Houston...y'all ran back to him. Thank goodness y'all still got your core intact of Harden and Howard. But Mchale still coach. Mchale is bad enough to have y'all being a 9th seed.

If the Rockets had matched Parsons deal they would have regretted it. Overpaying always hurts in the long run.

U still never answered whether u was dick hopping..... I mean team hopping to the Cavs next year

Cavs fan yes or no?

Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

I did answer u bum ass niggas and I told you like 4 times I never fucked with the cavs and never will now how bout u hop off my nuts wit that bullshit

Sure didn't hurt y'all with Jeremy Lin though.

I don't think it would've hurt y'all but its nothing worth crying over. You just gotta find his replacement offensively. I think Ariza is a solution and can fill a void but you need one more scorer still to replace Parsons.

The Heat struck out worse losing James and giving Bosh that crazy ass contract.

I was gonna say that the Rockets had the worst offseason.....but yeah I guess its hard to miss losing the best player in basketball than giving Bosh the max. Can't say the Heat had a choice in the matter though. Things could get really ugly if they not careful.

The Heat struck out worse losing James and giving Bosh that crazy ass contract.

Besides James who was the most consistent player on the Heat? What's the heat record when James didn't suit up and bosh played? How much was bosh avg'ing

Come back when u have the answer

It did hurt us though. It cost us a first to get rid of him. Hey congrats on the signing. The Rockets are better off waiting to next year and using that space to sign a third star than to get handcuffed with that contract.

He's a nice player. He will help the Mavs. But there's no way I would pay him the max on the Rockets. Time to fill out the roster and see what happens. This is not the last free agent period there will be. Be patient and make good deals.

COREY BREWER IS A SHOOTING GUARD, THAT IS HARDEN'S MAN TO GUARD..

the rockets are not winning anything with mchale as a coach

Bro did you watch that game? Harden didn't guard Brewer all night.. Parsons guarded his ass as well, McHale threw everything but the kitchen sink at Brewer. Fyi, Brewer is a small forward/guard.

Y'all didn't have too though. Y'all could've easily eaten that Lin contract. He's 14 million off the books for next year. Y'all just believed in that Melo and Bosh pipedream. If y'all as good as we think you will be that little raggedy ass 1st round pick gonna be late anyway. You'd risk a late 1st rounder on a pipe dream of Melo and Bosh.

A lottery pick? Naw I wouldn't.

Its gonna depend on who that 3rd star is. Kevin Love and Lamarcus Aldridge not playing for 14 or 15 million y'all might have. We talking max money.

Chances are, you guys are gonna have enough money to sign 2nd or 3rd tier players of the caliber of Parsons. That Ariza contract took y'all out of the max money territory for another star.

Bird wanted Granger back but numbers didn't work

If the Rockets had matched Parsons deal they would have regretted it. Overpaying always hurts in the long run.
What the fools really regret is letting him out of the team option at 900k. That was an absolutely horrendous move from jump. I don't care how they try to justify it. Even more horrendous with this result.

Parsons ain't gotta worry about no Brewer here. No fucking way that no jump shooting muthafucka would go off for 50 on us. No fucking way. I didn't see the game but I still don't believe he did that. I can't even do that shit in NBA 2k with him.

Yea that's really where you at. If you have a contributor like Parsons, you take that 900k and worry about the rest later. NEVER play that game they tried to play. Morey fucked around and outsmarted himself.

When you can have a 17 point a game scorer for 900k? That's a asset. Trade the fuck if you want. But you gotta re-up that shit.
