Love the pickup at that price. Im gonna conveniently forget how awful he looked in Cleveland.

Riley is making a comeback.

What good moves has he made that he gets praised for? DWade

That's essentially it. Him and Caron are the only two good draft picks he's had. Caron allowed them to get Shaq.

DWade is who got Lebron and Bosh...stop giving Pat Riley that credit. And for the past four years since getting them, he hasn't drafted any decent talent besides Cole.

He called Lebron bluff. He should have gone after Vasques to go along with Napier. He should have gone after a Jordan Hill along with McBob, who shouldn't have gotten a full mid level. Made a serious push for Deng or Ariza with Lebron.

this proves that the whole they couldn't get people to commit was a damn lie.. they just weren't doing shit and trying to dupe lebron before they got into action...

cause if they wouldn't commit before knowing if lebron would come.. how come they going to the heat now without him? and the only free agents that are going to the cavs are the ones lebron is recruiting himself?

That trade of Joel Anthony for tax purposes was the beginning of the end.

ICYMI: Ivan Johnson on the needed mentality to get into the NBA: "I gotta f*ck whoever is infront of me"

Wanted Riley to get dude last year...to replace UD toughness when he decide hang it up

I guess you can classify that as toughness :smh:

Ray Allen teaches fans a life lesson using Instagram
Ray Allen is currently facing a decision as to whether to keep playing basketball or retire. Making that type of decision helps a player put things in perspective. Allen posted a picture of orange juice on Instagram and added the following caption to teach people a life lesson: "I post a picture about orange juice and all you guys care about is to talk about basketball. There is more to life. Don't be one track minded people. People comment that athletes only post about meaningless things but when we do Noone or even has anything good to add. Don't just use social media to talk trash or to argue with people. Use it to grow and learn. When I decide what to do it will be what is best for my family and no one else. I appreciate all of your concerns". Source: Bleacher Report

Hm. Think about this. Pat Riley got lazy. Mike Miller came through for the Heat in the finals, and they simply didn't resign him so they can avoid the repeater tax (never mind the fact Lebron, Bosh, and Wade ALL took pay cuts - so the owner really should've anted up considering how much he was making off those guys- I KNOW someone had to tell Lebron or his team that) instead of looking to cut salary elsewhere and keep someone who produced and lebron liked a lot.

I like Lebron's contract with the Cavs, it'll keep them on their toes. Gilbert better be ready to pay like the Russian.

:money: You know what wouldn't surprise me. Both Gilbert and Lebron taking hits in 2016. Lebron takes a paycut in two years BUT Gilbert makes up for it by paying like the Russian into the tax. Lebron could also take max with Gilbert paying heavy tax/penalties, but it would limit the talent.

In two years, Lebron could be working on a three-peat and his GOAT argument. He knows Gilbert will pay either way, but what will be best for Lebron's legacy?

It's different than taking a cut for a cheap fucking owner who won't sacrifice his money too. And if you a multimillionaire giving up millions a year, you know the billionaire giving up 10s of millions is only fair.

Chandler parsons officially a dallas maverick.

Daryl morey and the houston rockets have struck out big time this off season.

you on that that rock if the you think the cavs are going to win it all in one year. irving, wiggins, and Bennett are still sucking on their moms teet. bench is awful too. if you think the spurs dominated the heat, they would destroy that inexperienced team

Rockets will not match Parsons offer sheet

Overpaid but looking at the alternatives at the 3 spot?

It's kinda dry out there

he's going to Cleveland

Nah man I strongly disagree with this.

Love had a SOLID team around him this past year and they under achieved. Kevin Martin, Rubio, Brewer, that center whose name slips my mind, Buddinger...... Had a hall of game coach in Adelman.....he had a team around him and he still couldn't get it done. That team was a dark horse pick to make the playoffs at a 7 or 8 seed.

He might have them under the gun, but he's still under contract to Minnesota and that's punishment enough

Man to start that team don't know what the hell they doing just going back at their dumb ass draft selection when they got Johnny Flynn and Rubio. They signed Brandon Roy who had no business trying to make a comeback.

The center you're talking about is Pekovic and I agree he's a beast. Burdinger who came from your Rockets was injured last season along with Love. Rubio can't shoot so teams don't even guard him off the ball. Kevin Martin is still serviceable but he ain't dropping 20ppg like he did for Sacramento. Bottom line Love is better as your 2nd option. He's not a leader just a very good talent. Just as Kyrie Irving.

See Dallas told ya u guys got Parsons....

We still got assets to move I don't think we're done yet...... Struck out with the big names but we still won 50+ games and will likely do the same next year without Parsons.... We strong defensively on the wing with Ariza and Nick Johnson and Beverly,...... We get some help at the 4 and were a top 8 team again

If I was Dirk I would be upset I signed a smaller contract to get a non all star for that money

is this nigga serious???????????????

Yes. The cap does not work how most think.

Deng Contract would have been 10 million a year.

To sign Deng.... Lebron, Wade and Bosh would have needed to opt out in which they did.

Then you would need to decide if you want to operate as a team above the cap or a team under the cap.

Operating above the cap you can keep the bird rights to you own free agents. Then you could use MLE and Biannual Exception to sign players. Going this route will prevent you from going over the NBA hard cap of 81 million but will allow you to sign your own players back and exceed the 63 million cap.

Lebron 22 million
Wade 22
Bosh 22

The reason I list those are because of the cap holds

Adding Deng puts Miami at 76 million and only would have 5 million left because remember in this scenerio you cant go above the 81 million hard cap. There would not be enough money to fill out the rest of the roster.

I can't understand how Houston got worst

Dirk knows what's up

Personally I wouldn't have done it but Dirk knew we weren't getting any allstars

Never will be until he is gone

Paycut helped us at least improve the team cuz we needed every dollar we can get

Got to overpay players just to come to Dallas or find bargains like Monta

So basically Parsons is making the money Dirk should be making and Dirk is making the money Parsons should be making but if Dirk is cool with that as he obviously is then we as fans have to roll with it too

I think it's foolish but he is loyal to Cuban so that's on him

As of today the Mavericks are a better team than we were last year

Not going to win a championship again but we will at least get back to that 50+ win team we have been all these years

This. People act like losing Parsons is like losing Scottie Pippen in his prime or some shit. It would have been dumb as hell to match, Ariza will be a good enough replacement and Ariza steps up in the playoffs unlike Parsons. Now its time for Morey to get some depth behind Howard and get another guard..

I hate to go king t on people but DAMN it's funny to me that Houston is considered as STRIKING OUT this year...... Okay cool......what about the WINS we've had the past 2 years.??

Got harden on the cheap and convinced Howard to leave Hollywood.

But because bosh chose to resign with Miami we lost? Never mind the fact we had deals in place cap space available and what is seen by some as a verbal commitment from bosh to play here.... Nah we lost. Part of winning is luck and we all know luck is preparedness plus opportunity. We had both but just weren't lucky this time.

Rockets my boys though thick n thin in rocket red even if I don't have Comcast to watch them  #rednation BITCHES

cause your coach is so bad you need supreme talent to possibly do more than just make the playoffs

and even that..as scott brooks shows isn't enough to win it all.

that's why.

if you landed bosh you have a team that mchale himself can't even fuck up.
