Rockets and Trevor Ariza agree on 4-yr, $32 million deal

Wasn't he on the KNICKS??!?!?!

Say what you want about Isiah but damn he DID draft well and many of the players he put on the Knicks during his stewardship ending up being MAJOR contributors on other CHAMPIONSHIP & CONSISTENT Play Off teams...

Cause Knicks had...(or Thomas drafted in NY and other teams)

Tevor Ariza, Zack Randolph, Wilson Chandler, Rudy Fernandez, Aaron Brooks , Carl Landry, Renaldo Balkman, Rajon Rondo , Daniel Gibson, Paul Millsap, Channing Frye, Andrew Bynum Danny Granger, Nate Robinson, Jarrett Jack, David Lee.

Everyone who isn't a Miami fan could see that. They turned him into a spot up 3pt shooter

Anyone with basketball sense seen it, Eric was a fool with some of the things he did. Not using bosh correctly was one, how he used the bench throughout the year was another

The Cava can wait the Wolves out. Love ain't going back there. He's holding them hostage right now. Same shit Melo did to Denver.

I think people are too hard on Love. Sure he's never been in the playoffs but he hasn't had much to work with also. Garnett is the only big man who over achievied with his roster. That was largely due to Garnett being able to guard 3 positions. Dunkin, Dirk all had a quality team around them.

Nah man I strongly disagree with this.

Love had a SOLID team around him this past year and they under achieved. Kevin Martin, Rubio, Brewer, that center whose name slips my mind, Buddinger...... Had a hall of game coach in Adelman.....he had a team around him and he still couldn't get it done. That team was a dark horse pick to make the playoffs at a 7 or 8 seed.

He might have them under the gun, but he's still under contract to Minnesota and that's punishment enough

Riley didnt know how to play his cards right.......

exactly

nobody is going to convince me the miami heat threw money at people and they said no cause they didn't know if lebron was going to be there.

especially now that they're throwing money at people without lebron and they're saying yes.

Exactly

You telling me they offered Deng this deal before Lebron left?

Yes the players had a dream of playing together. Of course Wade approached Riley and told him that Bosh and Lebron were very interested. Riley then set everything in motion with creating cap space, making trades and structuring all of Miami contracts to expire at the end 2009 season. For this to work Riley had to do alot of behind the scene work. Riley was praised for making it "Possible" for the Wade, Bosh and Lebron to come together. So he should get credit and not be labeled as "Lucky"

What do you mean there were no improvements made? After the first year of losing the finals the Heat upgraded their roster which won back to back titles? The roster upgrades where so good they won 27 games in a row and dominated the NBA.

Miami was always over the cap so I have no idea why people keep saying that we were not.

Let't be real. Stop acting like Mike Miller is some franchise changing player. He is a role player that hardly cracked the rotation while at Miami. He was not even in the rotation for most of his time here.

If 4 finals and two NBA titles is not great then what the fuck are the other GM and Owners doing?

No one is going to win the title every year. The Spurs took a few as beating also. It happens. So why is it so different for Miami. Yall have unrealistic expectations when it comes to Miami but completely ignore how dominate we were over the last 4 years.

If three peating was so easy why more teams have not done it?

If Jordan, Magic, and Dream teamed up, we would expect them niggas to win the chip every year. Anything else would have gotten them clowned.

Kirk Hinrich has re-signed with the Bulls, per source.

Deng lost out...two years and only 10 mil :smh:

It will be interesting to see. If Beal beats him out for the starting 2G slot then he wont make it as a reserve. He only makes it due to the insanely weak 2g line up in the east, and ONLY if Beal doesn't get that starting slot. Way too many point guards in the east for him to get a reserve slot.

Derozen in Toronto

Put up 22, 4 and 4 last year

Thats a great contract for Deng.

We had to overpay Bosh.

Either we did or Houston would.

Not it wasn't

Chicago offered him 10 mil

He's 29 and only getting a two year contract

Report: Hornets, Brian Roberts agree to 2-year, $5.5 million-plus deal

Riley wants cap space for 2016...I think there's a few names in that class

@IraHeatBeat: Richard Jefferson taking one-year deal at vet minimum shows there are and still will be values at vet minimum the balance of free agency.

Interested to see how Pat Riley finishes filling HEAT roster. So far - Chris Bosh, Danny Granger, Luol Deng, Josh McRoberts and Norris Cole

Could not or would not?

Could not. You can't just sign a player without have the cap space. To be able to go over the cap space you would have needed someone to opt out then sign the free agent which would then allow the Heat to resign their player while going over the account

The only thing we had was the MLE from when Miller was amnestied.
