2014 Cologne Thread

Brothas - after a few of y'all mentioned that the Cologne Thread is getting a little long, I decided to make a new thread. If y'all want to just say fuck it and continue to roll in the old thread so be it.

With that said, a few of my colognes have changed and I know my personal preferences have been updated. I usually don't like folks knowing what I wear but I have received so much game from this board - I gotta reciprocate.



YSL - La Nuit - Ole reliable (going out to the club)

Kiton Man (everyday - just absolutely crazy)

DHI - nuff said. Don't overpay and you can periodically check Dior.com - it might be on there. Not too many cats are on this.

Finally - my cheap but good shit. A smoother Terre D'hermes clone. Trust me ...plus they had a 1 oz spray plus after shave balm at walmart for $8. Don't believe me - check the net. Very underrated.

Just copped the 30ml of Creed Aventus, shit was mad expensive. I was pissed when I first sprayed It on, All that money and I felt the shit smelled like old ass 18.00 canoe but after 2 minuets the scent settled into something totally different. The scent was very good Wore that shit to work, Female co-worker came up to me and said I smell amazing. Money well spent.

i own over 100 cologne's but this these are in my current rotation, all for different occasion,

honorable mentions polo sport if i know im doing something athletic most of the day, its the most unique sport scent imo,

abercrombie and finch fierce when im overseas, its too popular in america but when im outside of america bitches go crazy over it.

creed aventus, the best cologne ever made as far as quality goes imo, the only cologne worth 200 that's very versatile , its a very very pleasant scent but for some reason i don't reach for it much

If you like A*Men but don't like the opening tar note - Cuba Prestige (less than $10 at Ross) is IMO well worth the investment.

I put this one in the other thread but here goes again. A lot of people say it smells like Creed Original Sanatal but I haven't smelled OS so I don't know.

I wasn't big on Power by 50 Cent when it dropped but since it didn't sell well and can be copped for the low ($12.99 at Ross) - it's worth the money. The main problem I think is the name doesn't match the scent.

And just so y'all don't think I'm just about the cheap shit:

In the winter, this goes hard especially if you like gourmands. Legend by Michael Jordan and Rochas Man are similar for lower prices.

This is a smooth casual scent for chilling on a Saturday afternoon. There's a oil by Al-Rehab called Silver ($9 on ebay) that smells close to this but I haven't gotten it.

If you plan on dropping some panties, this works great. Smells similar to Tom Ford Noir.

i thought it was just ok but other people seemed to always ask about it. i recently got a bottle of hanae mori and although no one ask questions about it I personally enjoy it.

does anyone know where you can get legit samples from? most of the time i just ship what i dont like back but sometimes I like scents later down the line (scents that i keep but dont personally like).i tried pure malt but I really wasnt feeling it however I only put it on once. i know if you order from the creed website they let you pick certain samples with your purchase.

That layering effect is crazy! All kinds of women will be complimenting how you smell! However, be careful around kids or young teenagers, because they can't stand it!

My aunt works at Macy's, every Christmas I get a bag full of lil bottles of cologne. So she keeps me stocked with the popular colognes. I been stuck on these same colognes for some years now, time to update my collection.

these are my wife's favs. So I still wear them when I'm exclusively with her (date night, etc).
