2013-2014 NBA Analysis Thread

I think its 100% that Carmelo's going to the Lakers next year. The pressure alone his wife is going to put on him will be enough for him to sign there. As a Lakers fan Lebron will either stay with Miami or go back to Cleveland so Carmelo will be the next best option.

Breh Lebron is not going back to Cleveland why do you dudes keep perpetuation this non sense

tonight is Clips vs OKC.

Looks to be another good one.

Whenever these two play I always think it comes down to one factor. Can you control Kevin Durant?

It seems weird to say that the Clippers dont want to get into a half court battle with the Thunder given that the Thunder have their own offensive issues in that setting.

The Clippers just seem to be better when they make it a track meet against the Thunder.

Serge Ibaka has been having good games lately so the chess match(ha if you can term it that) between him and Griffin should be good like it was in the match a week or so ago.

Which Westbrook will show up tonite? Cool composed Russ or firebreathing Ima shoot every shit tonite Russ

I will go on record with this. Losing Harden and then Kevin Martin might turn out in retrospect to be one of the great basketball robberies in recent NBA history.

Thanks for the pregame thoughts bro. Much respect to you and bills for this thread.

Perkins is as good as he is going to get. I still feel serge has plenty of room to mature his game.

CP3 has to look for his early. I think against the top tier teams in the west 15-18 pt CP3 isnt good enough. I think he has to be in the 25 pt and up range.

wait I just found out Matt Barnes has to go get eye surgery from a Zach Randolph elbow

He doesn't look for his shot enough, but it's tough because he is so unselfish.

Plus I don't feel like he is a huge scoring threat. At least not in high volumes like Westbrook.

chris is more competent at running an offense. Is actually the more polished offensive player

but Westbrook is pure chaos....he leaves opposing defenses off balance

Thunder closed off that quarter taking some mystifying shots

Thunders offense is mystifying in general. The dynamics of Westbrook and Durant has been interesting since they have been together. You can't really scout it. They just score in you.

Agreed about cp3.

you know why I am not sure the Clippers could beat OKC in the playoffs. They have no one to make Durant play both sides of the ball.

When they play the Heat or the Spurs or Indy or the Warriors, Durant has to work on the defensive end

Spurs stay quietly assassinating teams. Just amazed how they are able to maintain being a 50 win team.

BK getting their ass whipped again. :itsawrap: for J-Kidd. Don't see him lasting too much longer. BK is not getting any better.

50 wins every season for over a decade :itsawrap:

The Nets are playing without Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, AK47 and Jason Terry. This team has been dealing with both injuries and aging players. Nothing Jason Kidd can do about that. They were built for the playoffs so they just need to get in.

I figured that aging would be a problem for this team. I just didn't think it would happen so early in the season. Just making to the playoffs is going to be a huge struggle, but you know how owners tend to be. Most of the time they don't give coaches much chance to win. Especially when you have an expensive team.

Brooklyn getting blown out by 44 in the 3rd :smh: Minnesota's starters gonna be well rested when the play my Rockets tomorrow.

The East

1. Miami
2. Indiana
3. Atlanta

Suprising atlanta has played well so far.......Brooklyn and chicago big disappointments this year......and for chicago without rose its going to be a long year. Brooklyn wow they are old you watch them play and they have no speed.

I still think indiana needs to pick up one more player to be Miami....A scorer of the bench i know they think granger can fill that roll.....i think tyrere evans or a three point specialist would help Indian like ryan anderson they need more scoring.

Out West

1.San antonio Spurs are First as usual
2. Portland
3.OKC

The west is always tough......Golden state Injuries are hurting them right now.
The lakers are hanging tough if they can get to 500. then kobe come back watch out.

Portland is a suprise but the talent is there Batum, alridge and Damion lirrard are for real. the wildcard is wesley matthews when he plays well portland usual wins...if they can avoid injuries portland has a shot at top 4 seed in the west.

Clippers and Houston kinda not as good as i though they would be.

Dallas is better than i though dallas is a problem. great team.

Golden state and Minnesota are good team as well better than clippers and houston.

the wild card is MEMPHIS if Gasol is healthy and that defense is right they are the TOP TEAM IN THE WEST......all about their Defense.....they could a guy off the bench that can score a nate robinson type dude......Tyreve evans or ryan anderson fit here as well.

If Indiana and memphis pickup a guy who can create offense they could win it all.......Not score a guy who creates offense very few guys do this Demar derozan scores a lot doesnt create offense......Rondo creates offense,Paul creates offense......Jamall tinsley creates offense he was always a big assist guy.

Memphis had that scoring with Rudy Gay. Should have never got rid of dude.
