In ATL - don't know if this will fully answer the question. In ATL- my girlfriend and I used to hit up Kroger because of the gas. Then we realized we could get quality food (natural, non-processed shit) from Costco. Costco is probably the best bet outside of a major farmer's market (e.g., Dekalb)... it pays off if you go ahead and plan out the trip in advance (then buy in bulk for like 1/4 of the year for kitchen supplies and a month for food).


To the OP - damn good post. I was this close to getting a sam's club card because they have slightly better deals on computers (e.g., Asus laptops for the low) but fuck it - I like how Costco is operating and will keep the membership.

Dekalb Farmer's Market sucks. I fucks w/Harry's Farmer's Market in Cobb.

Walmart is a job killer. If those people could find better jobs they would. Many had better jobs before Walmart came and puts many other businesses out of business due to their lower prices and the convinence of buying many different consumer goods in one place.

Its a business model that works but it is a net negative for the communities they land in, their workers, and ultimately the country. DO some research on this and turn off fox news.

Which is why DC fought (unsuccessfully) to keep them out.

I got suckered into the executive membership tonight. I told them I don't shop enough for it to pay off for me. The guy said if I don't get at least 55.00 in rebates to cover the upgrade to bring in the rebate check and they will make it 55.00. We'll see.

The company CEO Craig Jelinek is 100% right about the federal minimum wage, it should be @ least $10/hr, in high COL (cost of living) cities it should be $12.
