Looking forward to seeing how Esparza/Namajunas plays out for the inaugural 115lb strap, and how well Torres, Rawlings, Herrig, Hill, Ham, Calderwood, Penne, Markos and others perform.

Also ... Noons/Cruickshank, and Oliveira/Stephens.

This chick (Rose) probably has some mental issues, but she's dead ass serious about her fight game and cleans up nicely. I'm sure Dana's hoping to have another dominant pretty face in the UFC to see if lightning will strike twice after Rousey. (Although, this chick has almost ZERO personality compared to Rousey, who self-promotes very well.)

Yeah - Rose is an interesting one. Never quite sure what to make of her, but she's fun to watch in there with the striking, subs, flying armbar, etc. Apparently she'll be the youngest champ in the UFC (22yo) if she wins the inaugural strap over Esparza today, and it'll be fun to see her fiance Pat Barry spazzing out when she wins :lol:

Yeah - Anik said near the end of the event that the update from Dana White was that he would need surgery tomorrow for the eyelid ... but apparently the eyeball's ok. Definitely could have been worse. Speaking of eye injuries ... Francisco Rivera is getting surgery soon (retina, etc) for his eye poke suffered in the scrap with Urijah Faber last weekend.

I usually go there http://www.fightvideomma.com/ to watch the fights that I missed, but they don't have the Markos vs Penne fight... any other links?

yeah - definitely a dope site. Penne/Markos got bonus $ for their scrap. Haven't had a chance to look around for other links.

Yeah - I think the experience factor was really big for Esparza. She's got Invicta, XFC, and Bellator experience against higher-caliber opponents compared with Rose who just has Invicta/TUF match-ups to her name. I was banking on Rose being more explosive and athletic too (and the bigger fighter despite their small statures respectively). But Carla definintely weathered the early storm and took it to her. Always fun to watch Carla on the ground as she's ALWAYS working. Great wrestling and G&P for a small fighter too ... she stays busy and worked Rose over. Well-deserved win. Props to the cast of teh whole season ... I look forward to watching several of them in the UFC, most notably Esparza/Namajunas/Herrig/Penne/Markos/Calderwood/Torres & a few others. They are all legit in their own right, and that's all you can ask when people make their way up to the big show to perform.
