Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Uriah fucked around too much, but I still thought he won. Oh well!!!

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

YOU HAVE TO TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!

Uriah will fight again of course, but he fucked himself out of some money trying to be Silva.:smh:

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Hall has nobody to blame for that one but himself. He was too busy bullshitting and it led to him giving up that last takedown.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Hall was on some Anderson Silva shit, but never pulled the trigger on dude. He might need Sonnen in his corner to keep his head right. He should have never lost this fight.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

That's exactly why you should pay no attention to hype, people's records or the opinions of the other fighters. The winner is decided in the cage. You just bring it, and you never know what you can pull off.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Hall mentally doesn't have what it take for the UFC. I hate having to say that.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Uriah was out there feeling his own hype putting his back on the cage trying to act like Silva...he deserved to lose.

I agree, WTF was he doing on the cage, this cat can't beat Silva, Sonnen is an ass for saying that, he did well tho, showed some diversity in his wrestling, takedown...Kelvin just wanted it more.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

He earned that shit like a motherfucka.I never watched tha Ultimate Fighter so I was expecting a whole lot from Hall by tha way they been talking about him. He'll still get a contract but I was expecting more.I love this card though.Kelvin went all out for that win.
Props for that.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

props to Kelvin for a good fight
freestyle wrestling prevails in this fight
Uriah got to work on his ground game
he looked like a fish out of water
even when he was on top in the guard

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Wtf was Uriah's thinking, you gain all that hype by going out and crushing fools but then on the big stage you lay back and fuck around.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

It looks like guys named Uriah(Hall or Faber) just can't win title fights in the UFC.

He's only human..when you become an internet sensation via your knockouts and you have somebody like Sonnen telling you, that you can beat Silva, it's possible that it will go to your head. I recall a Jay Z lyric..everybody can tell you how to do it..they never did it. How the fuck can Sonnen say who can beat Silva? Especially when Hall hasn't faced anybody in the top 10

yeah Uriah got caught in his own hype, Chael Sonnen put it in Uriah's head that he's already a contender for the belt already and that's what messed him up. Uriah was lazy in the cage instead of being aggressive.

Nah Uriah showed he could hold his own grappling dude was just fucking around...look at when Kelvin was coming forward on the feet with that slopppy striking Uriah didn't even try to counter he just backed up and laid on the cage.

Dude was feeling himself and thought at some point he would just be able to pull a highlight reel KO out of his ass.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

I will say this about Faber 'The California Kid'
he comes out to some good hype music

true. he couldve been taken down more than he was taken down but
there was some openings to attempt some submissions
when they were scrambling on the mat
he wasn't focused for this fight no killa instinct
but Kelvin fought a good discipline fight
he wasnt afraid to bang with Uriah

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

i hope uriah can get it together he shud b a bantam weight title holder...im a fan of the california kid

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Good fight for Faber
Jorgenson is a top notch bantamweight opponent

Fabers lateral movement was on point
and 2nd str8 win by RNC

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

Uriah does that fucking RNC in his sleep. If he was married he would probably have killed his wife by now.

If they would have taken in the WEC about 7 years ago he could have pulled it off. Cruz is too fast for him and has his number now.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

DAMN nasty elbows by Travis Browne but
those last 3 elbow shots was on the back of the head though

This is why purists like Eddie Goldman are fed up witht he UFC. That was horrendous:

True

what made it worse by looking at the replay
when Gabriel head was lowered Travis used his right knee like an anvil
and pounded his head onto his knee with those vicious elbows like a sledgehammer

Florian was too chicken shit to admit that the KO shots
was to the back of the head, the first 2 elbow to the side of his face shots
dazed him but those elbows to the back of the head knocked him out

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC - TUF - The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale - Las Vegas - April 13th, 2

- Props to everyone for putting in work on the prelims and main card.

- Big ups to Tate & Zingano for putting on an entertaining fight. Nice to see Zingano get some shine. Those knees - DAMN. Always been a fan of Tate's. She's had exciting fights aplenty in recent years.

- Urijah's been on a roll in recent years with the submissions. Did the commentators say 6 of his last 7 wins were by way of submissions or something like that? 16 or 17 total submission wins over the course of his entire career. Wasn't the most exciting fight between him and Jorgensen though. Faber outclassed him coming in ... they've been friends for years (dating way back into their WEC days) and they're under the same management company. Hence not trying to kill one another in there.

- Props to Kelvin on the win. He was the underdog coming into this season ... youngest entrant (turned 21 just before it started) ... upset fighters along the way ... can take damage ... and has heart. Not the most exciting to watch, but he's durable (recovers well) and works his takedowns into the gameplan properly. Hall looked like he was trying too hard to imitate Silva at times ... the hands down ... backing himself into the cage ... but also taking too long in the 1st round to gauge distance, etc. He should have come out and imposed his well. My take was Kelvin - 1st / Uriah - 2nd / a tougher one to call in the 3rd.
