He actually let Swizz Beatz use his voice. Swizz Beatz has "Monster Monday's" where he drops a song every Monday like Kanye was doing. He dropped this last monday.

Where is Jeezy?

He may as well start his "Get off Def Jam" campaign now. Beefing with Ross was the dumbest thing he could've done. Def Jam ain't fuckin up the money. :smh:

U call that beef?? For 2 self-proclaimed mafia drug lords, shit was pretty lame.

Not speaking on the quality of the beef. Just saying going at a label mate, who makes the company more money, was not the smartest career decision he could've made. I'm sure he was told to chill but decided to go at Ross anyway.

nice is that swizz beatz....wow he sure can switch it up his production cause ever since like 2002 swizz has been pop...

:confused: Rick Ross isn't making them any money. He's underperformed for his budget. The Jeezy push back has nothing to with Ross. Its because he hasn't dropped a single that they feel is strong enough to release the album yet.

Not about to research figures but i'm sure he's bringing more in than Jeezy.

Actually he's not. Trust me. Rick Ross last 2 albums have had the biggest budgets since Jay. They feel Ross has superstar potential so they are putting the money behind him but the sales are not materializing. His albums have so no where near what Jeezy has. Jeezy has multiple platinum albums, Ross doesn't have any platinum sold, he has platinum shipped on ONE album.

C/S folks dont get it tho. Ross's album budgets should have went for Jezzy.Nigga got a album full of features and cant go gold. That beef with 50 hurt Ross imo.

There wasn't a debate to be had. He said that beefing with Ross affected Jeezy...it didn't. The 2 situations are not intertwined.

but this is the thing abut the logic and approach you are using.. who is really affected by the sales vs budget is the record label themselves. Ross having an album & buzz is means for him to book tours & show gigs.. he sees more of that bread than he sees off of album sales.

The question is.. if Jeezy still has a huge following & demand.. why isnt he heavy in the mixtape market right now? If the label is willing to "lose" w/ Ross.. what do you think their expectations are with Jeezy? I just think Jeezy's cycle of revelance has come to a stutter. He could be helping himself out if the demand existed by killing the mixtape market. Local dudes like gucci and Wacka are killin him with that game plan and for them.. its working.

It might not have affected him in actual monetary terms but it did in potential money. It's never a good look to any company when you beef with another artist on the same label. Plus the kids nor his peers are really checking for dude for whatever reason. Ross has healthy relationships with Khalid, Puff, Kanye, Jay, and Young Money. Jeezy isn't getting those same kind of looks (besides the Drake feature) and he's worked with most of those artists/labels in the past. If Ross isn't bringing the company more money right now, which I think he is, he's definitely worth more to Def Jam than Jeezy is for the foreseeable future. Plus, at the end of the day, Ross is a better rapper and makes better music than Jeezy.

Mixtapes and tours dont help the label unless its an "official" tour. . Unless Ross signed a 360 his popularity only helps him. He said Ross is bringing the label more money. Record sales affect the label. If I sell more records than you then I'm bringing in more money. Thats why labels came up with 360 deals, because alot of artists dont sell alot of records but can get alot of shows because they make good singles or guest spots. If Ross was putting up big numbers do you think Def Jam would have allowed all this Bad Boy co-promotion?..No.

Jeezy dropped songs over summer and in the fall like Lose my Mind and all white that got alot of play and still get major club play, just not HUGE play. Jeezy still has alot of fans, but for some reason you are right he is NOT hitting the mixtape market like he's supposed to, thats how you stay relevant. If you notice Ross biggest hits were on his mixtapes months before his album. When the album drops it doesn't sell well, BUT they keep Ross popular...not the label.

On that side yes you are right. Ross has far more potential right now which is why they are still pumping money into him.

The Beef with Ross didn't hurt him as bad as niggas think ..

yea He get "exposed" but insead of folding .. he continued to make bangers

"When you win , they'll forget everything you did wrong"

And Jeezy can't make a hit to save his life ( which is why his album is on the shelf now) ,And the Nigga Got killed By Plies :smh:  And Yo Gotti

also the bitchassness he displayed ( again) Beefing with Ross instead of Jumping on a Remix for BMF ( Which Would've helped him immensely)

Until that nigga Jeezy gets his shit together .. Ross will be on top ...

BTW this song BANGS
