My new job is crazy work ... they can't be serious????

the problem is that most urban communities are not supporting baseball in the black neighborhoods. They use the money for other things.

not saying it's every city, but many cities fall under this statement.

Major League Baseball isn't really pushing the issue, either. :smh::smh::smh:

Yeah, I'm in the IT field. Being that I'm single, I enjoy the travel. But I won't do it forever. Even I will have to settle down eventually.

Couple of things if you gonna get into IT.

Get your certifications. Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft, etc. Those will get you noticed.

Network. Thanks to my military experience, a fellow army buddy referred me to my current employer

Having a college degree is good, but employers like to see you have some job experience.

If the job you want requires a security clearance (like mine does), don't fuck yourself. Be honest. cause they will do background checks.

We have a community center here and NONE of thekids even think about baseball. Hubby had to do a bootleg baseball program last year. Had to almost force the kids to do it. Baseball isn't "cool" or fun to them. And i did some reading up on it, that's pretty much the same feeling around other places as well. Black kids don't like baseball.

I hate it actually. Hubby didn't like it either he was just good at sports, so he played it from time to time.

Major league baseball about 2 or 3 years ago began to push the RBI program again. Reviving Baseball for Inner-City Youth

i think the problem still lies in the fact that baseball is not presented as cool to many kids. Even when you see a baseball player in a commercial he isnt presented in a cool way.


when they interview most professional black american players they always mention their fathers as the one getting them started in the game. there lies another issue within the black community.

I never liked baseball cause it was too hot

I don't like basketball cause I couldn't be as fierce on the court as I wanted to be

Football is ok but they wouldn't let me play

I'd like to play hockey but I'm in fucking Georgia and only the rich white folks with their indoor all year round hockey rinks get to play that shit cause it's expensive as hell

At least I had high school wrestling :dunno:

I only like football. I've always liked it. My husband got me into it even more because he was such an vid fan. Basketball is freakish to me and confusing. And Hockey, pfft. Not even. Wrestling?

Hmmm lol that would just lead to a desire for sex with me.

I'm not into having to work Saturdays but I quite enjoy my Fridays off ...
