1). If you're the last defender and you foul the opposing player, that's an automatic red card because you're the last man.

Doesn't make that much of a difference.

The whole idea of a penalty kick is to fake out the keeper.

Sometimes the keeper gets lucky and sometimes the penalty taker lucks out.

Has nothing to do with a lack of intelligence.
