Yeah, I hated hearing him say that. He sounded like the typical arrogant American. He and several (million) others in this country acted like the US was so great during group and second round play. How many times did we hear "we're wwwwaaayyyyy better" than Slovenia, Algeria, and Ghana? If Team USA was so much better than all those teams why the fuck did they only beat one of them? And in that game it took a late goal in stoppage time by that douche bag Landon Donovan. Sure, the team was robbed of a goal in that game on a bad call, but beyond that if you're so much better than these teams a win would be already in pocket. Even after losing to Ghana there are still a bunch of folks here that act like it's a huge shock. Maybe England wasn't as good as they thought, but they have a pedigree and a leg to stand on when it comes to having high expectations for their football (soccer) team. The US is in no position to walk around talking shit to or about anyone else when it comes to this sport. That kind of cocky attitude is what makes people around the world not like people from the States. It's also what makes me kinda glad the Black Stars won. IF the US ever becomes a real (major) player in football (soccer) there needs to be some serious humbling in people's attitudes, words, and actions. After that it will take the development of better players who can compete with the folks from other countries...
