What reason did Brasil have in helping either side? They already qualified so there was no need in having to score a lot against them. CIV knew what they needed to do and couldn't score the necessary amount.

Luis Fabiano wants Manchester United switch
The Brazil striker Luís Fabiano has said that a transfer from Sevilla to Manchester United this summer would be "very attractive".
Sir Alex Ferguson has indicated that there will be few changes to his playing staff this summer but having lost the league title to the Chelsea and failed to win the Champions League last season, United are expected to strengthen. The club's chief executive, David Gill, has said that the bulk of the £80m they received from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid last summer is still available to Ferguson.
"I have made it clear I will not be signing a new contract with Sevilla and at 29 I now need to join a club where I can start challenging for the highest honours from the first season," said Fabiano, who scored twice in his country's 3-1 World Cup win over Ivory Coast last week. "The choice will come down to Manchester United and Milan. That is the sort of team I want to be signing for, one of the true giants of Europe,
"I think the way Manchester United play football is very attractive. I must be honest and say Premier League football attracts me and also the way Manchester United play football attracts me.
"You think about being Wayne Rooney's strike partner and that is very attractive for any striker."
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Fabiano added: "Their coach is a winner, their players are winners and they are one of the few teams in Europe challenging for the top honours season after season. As soon as the World Cup is over I will make a quick decision on my future.
"I have enjoyed my time [at Sevilla] but I now need to be at a giant."
The striker has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur. "There would be no point in me joining Tottenham," he said. "I might as well stay at Sevilla, it's the same thing.
"Sevilla are actually bigger when you look at how much we have been in the European Cup, so there would be no point me moving to a smaller team."

I wonder where Portugal would be if someone broke the hand of Christian Ronaldo. What CIV did in Africa has nothing to do with shameful arrangement Brazil had with Portugal.. The way CIV dominated their games, with a healthy Drogba, they would have come out with 9 points. In any return match, I would put my money on CIV. They were controlling the game, and with a healthy Drogba, would have been ahead. Brazil would have had to play this wide open game, and against the speed and fortitude of CIV, I would put my money on CIV. Portugal needs to send money to Tanaka.
