African nations have scored two goals(Ghana, South africa) in 5 games:smh::smh::smh:

Ivory coast dont let me down.

This argument is flawed because other continents have not scored that many neither. Btwn, I get your point. We have to step up.

Whats asia had? 3 matches and three goals?:lol::lol:

austalia
South korea(2 goals)
Japan(1 goal)

concacaf 2 goals 2 matches?
United states(1 goal)
Mexico( 1 goal)

No reason for african nations to be behind these scrubs:smh:

Granted countries like Nigeria and Cameroon didn't play well and I have no idea about Algeria (didn't see the match). But I get what you sayin. But this Ivory Coast-Portugal match should be really good. Wonder if Drogba will end up playing. Hear FIFA will allow the cast to be worn.

I have big hopes for the Ivorians tomorrow...especially since the other francophone african country let me down...

Drogba can play, but won't start

PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa -- Didier Drogba has been cleared by FIFA to play in Ivory Coast's World Cup opener Tuesday against Portugal.

He will not start, however, team officials announced about an hour before the 10 a.m. ET kickoff.

Drogba broke his right arm in a warm-up match against Japan on June 4 and underwent surgery. A special lightweight cast has been placed on his arm.

FIFA officials said the cast was examined by match referee Jorge Larrionda of Uruguay and Portuguese team officials, and has been approved. They needed to be satisfied that the cast does not pose a danger to other players before Drogba got the go-ahead.

It is not known if Drogba, who scored 37 goals for Chelsea this season to lead the club to the Premier League and FA Cup titles, will play.

The soft cast is similar in design to the one sported by England striker Gary Lineker at the 1986 World Cup, when he was the leading scorer with six goals.

FIFA said the soft cast is black and, should Drogba play with a long-sleeve shirt, would not be immediately apparent to spectators.

Any true football fan knows Carlos Queiroz was the true mastermind behind Man Utd's success. It's gonna be hard for the Ivorians.

Efan Ekoku - "African teams haven't been able to hold it together in the latter stages of the tournament, and it's primarily psychological. They mentally just cannot seem to switch on when its absolutely needed. Maybe this Ivory Coast team will show us something different."

Who? The invisible men?

You can't throw your body in front of a runner in clear space, take his legs out, and claim the dude is diving. Trust me, I know all too well the diving of CR7, but a foul is a foul. He's gonna rack up the yellows today for the Ivorians cause he's burnin em with every burst.

The Ivorians are buying into his diving with their rash challenges. Don't dive in

He will exploit that and get you booked. Stand up, watch the ball, then win it
