*********Official Lakers vs. Celtics NBA Finals Thread********

cept jordan didn't miss those shots.
let's not pretend MJ didn't have bad games in the finals.

just to toss one out. game 5 of the 98 finals - MJ shot 9-26 and chicago lost by 2.

Kukoc was 11-13. Why didn't he keep going to Kukoc?

But no one remembers that. The same way people won't remember Kobe shooting 10 for 29 if they win the finals.

And in the series clincher in 98, he was 15-35. Playing opposite Jeff Hornacek.

For the record, Rondo, Ray Allen >> Hornacek. lol

MJ, game 4 of the 96 finals - 6-19

Series clinching game 6 - MJ 5-19 - Pippen 7-17.

If his name was Kobe niggas would say Pippen should have won finals MVP.

i'll say it again: if the leakers do win the championship, it will be because of the addition of white boy gasol on the team; not bcuz of kobe the rapist.

yawl know how it is.

That is like saying if Kevin Mchale didn't gift wrap KG to his old team for basically peanuts, they would have never won in 08 or be in the Finals now .....This was just one year after they lost 18 in a row and chanted MVP for Kobe how soon they forget.......

Jordan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kobe. Fuck y'all still talking about this for? Laker fans get ahead of themselves all the time.

Don't even start talking about this shit until Kobe gets ring #6. Kobe would've died against the "Bad Boys" real talk.

Yeah, it also helps that he ducked Hakeem in 94 and 95.

I don't think that bulls team would have beaten the 95 rockets.

Didn't duck him Dude, I believe the only reason Houston was able to win WAS because Air had retired. It's not like Hakeem was a rookie in 95. Dude played before AND after Jordan retired, just another testament to Air's dominance. Kept Nicca way from Chips!

How did he keep Hakeem from rings when Hakeem played in the west, and therefore would only face Jordan in the finals? Oh yeah, I forgot Jordan got ELIMINATED from the playoffs in 95 by the magic. Who then got swept by the rockets.

The bulls weren't going to win that series. Hakeem was on another planet those years. Even Jordan says he feels the rockets would have beaten te bulls.

Anyways. All of this is moot.

.

Do you have a clip of that..or a link to the interview... especially if he expanded on as to why....

edit. I wouldnt bet against Jordan and the bulls in the finals..but I think the Rockets would have been the perfect test..because Hakeem would have killed their centers but if you doubled up on Hakeem Smith, Horry, etc were excellent shooters...would have been interesting If Jordan would not have retired.

True.

Only cause its the pre-96 Bulls we would be talking about (BJ Armstrong, Cartwright, Perdue....).

The 72-10 Bulls would have demolished Hakeem and Co.

Matter o fact imo the only team assembled that beats the 96 Bulls is the first (and maybe 2nd) Olympic Dream Team.
