This is the place to talk, post up vids and prepare for BGOL team battles and tournaments.

Was about to start the SAME thread but here it is on the first page.
I gotta get my shoryuken up and try to give you some comp. Props where props is due. They got all the characters I fux with from all the other version. Wonder if they left Guy's chains intact? I'm picking up my copy actually in a little while.

Get ya training on man, I'll catch ya on PSN in about a week or so, forgot to Gamefly that bitch cuz I knew I was buying it for Xbox. Yo ask Dirty Bodega aka Daimy0 about Guy, he's getting sick nasty with that dude. I'll be uploading some of those vids between he and I in a few, so be sure to check those.
 
Damn son!! You dudes are for SERIOUS. I thought any moment you were going to have to cut the video short cause you broke your controller from all that heavy tapping.:lol:

:lol: Man yo u aint seen shit, my offline matches vs SIm, I want to literally break my stick sometimes when I can't execute my moves on time, but that tapping is the sound of those Sanwa buttons. They make it seem like they're getting hit harder than they actually are.

I really need to learn how to link my combos better for real. I use Ken or Akuma and I have issues transitioning my hits from one to the other. I always hit a gap and get exploited.:smh:

What do you think takes more skill, using a traditional controller or using and arcade style controller??

For real B, the best advice I can give is to hit the dojo and practice, practice, practice those combo links. Sometimes I go into the training room and just practice the timing on the combos for a few hours. I actually hate and love that aspect of this game. I hate that I have to put in the time and hard work, but at the same time I'm glad you can't just come in and button mash to victory too.


I think it takes more skill to do intricate combos on pad since the buttons are positioned on the controller the way they are, but stick is the best way to go. It takes time to get used to them again, but they normally produce the best results.
 
I MAIN RYU......with ROSE as the strong side main...followed by a decent cammy...I'm going to add Makoto, Guy and Deejay to the rotation...but my match-up experience is geared toward Ryu. I'm getting the midnight release tonight at gamestop, I used to be on PSN as DEFINITELOSS. I've gone back home to XBOX live as my ps3 pissed me off. My gamertag is TMeezy Hit me up if you guys want some comp/team battle partners...I will NOT let you down! :cool: I cannot wait to Metsu Shoryu the hell outta Sagat.

Good Drop on them videos..but that was DAY 1 shit.Let em know how we playing NOW.

Went IN for a couple hours last night with Heisuke mainly and a couple other cats. Son that T-Hawk is vicious and Ill give you a couple months before that Dee Jay is link ultras and giving more problems than he is now.

Im tellin you my man, Guy is the future, you see what he is CAPABLE of, let em know.

I advice all you cats to start some Shaolin hot cauldron finger training and hit that practice mode before that BGOL tournament starts up....

No excuses this season...Game is MUCH faster compared to Vanilla SF4 so no country for yall.....

Yo so check it fam...I just got home with game in hand and I pop it in to get my dojo on and the game rolls back to 720. Has this happened to anyone here? On the back of my PS3 game box, it says [720p] HD video output 480p-720p. Looks like battle arena toshinden, I'm like wtf...what's going on. Anyone have this experience? :(

Because cats are so damn stupid. All the game he bee playing are native 720p. Just because he sees his TV go to 720p all of a sudden it looks like shit. Just proves some people don't know shit about how there game works. They just want it to work. Its it looks like battle arena in 720p what the fuck does he think it would look like in 1080p? I'll give him a clue... Play a old street fighter game in high def and see how that looks.
 
So far I'm kicking ass & taking names. It is noticably better than the first version. Much more balanced. And I haven't really fought a lot of the "older" characters like Ken, Ryu, Gief, etc.

Where y'all hiding?? :lol:
