Sprint's 4G Android Phone Unveiled & It's a Beast!!!

I just looked at the video with the touchscreen keyboard, yo with that size, a lot of you dudes don't have to worry about needing a keyboard. That thing is HUGE.

Plus it's a nice ass phone, HTC makes quality phones.

I don't think I've hit the 6 month mark yet. I'm close but haven't crossed that threshold yet. Can't remember if I got it in November or October.

Best part of being a premier member is the new phone every year, still that doesn't seem to be enough now :smh:

Speaking of data

35 gigs of data downloaded & wii torrents in less than a month thanks to BGOL
Do you use that as your primary internet connection for your laptop/desktop?

Primary for right now.

I got rid of comcast so that i could get a 4g card then the Overdrive camer out so I'm waiting until it is available for me to purchase which should be April 1st.

The only problem that I've had is last Sunday when SmartView decided to do a fucking update and killed the device in OS X.

Nothing worked so I ended up having to format my hdd.

Cool I might just do that. I'm moving to Indianapolis next month & might consider getting the Overdrive so that I'll have internet access in my new place without having to rely on AT&T U-Verse or Comcast.

I left Sprint last week tired of the Palm Pre! Had to have an IPhone big mistake. Sprints network is much better than AT&T.

if sprint can make it possible to talk and use data at same time on their 4g i can only imagine what vzw is gonna do when they launch their lte later this year. so basically all three networks will have devices better than an iphone...and the whole "i can talk and surf the web" bullshit will be removed....lol...

steve jobs bout to sue somebody else.

but as far as the specs, this phone is the best available right now, no?

i think it deserves a whole troop of lil dancin niggas.

hell all new drops get the lil dancin dude from somebody...no big whoop

How are you guys liking the Hero?? My brother and sister in law have it and have their issues. My brother and I got a G1 at the same time and now that he has the Hero says that he wants to go back to a vanilla Android phone. Neither of you have had issues with "Sense"?? or the Hero??

I love my hero. I have no problems with it at all and its the best smartphone I've had. HTC Sense does so much and the Compact qwertry keyboard that comes with it is second to none.

What is the problem with that?

I don't know why people hyped the NexusOne (Googlephone) because it was just another Android device witha slight step up in specs.

Now this phone is a game changer.

An 8 meg camera in a phone sold here in the United States is crazy not to mention it can record 720p out of the box (Pre & iPhone can both do this but don't).

Not to mention it is a device that is connected to a network on par with cable providers.

Comcast and a few other cable companies are reselling 4G service as their own.

I was one of the main ones waiting for the Pre and now I can't wait to replace it.

I'm not a fan of any of these companies, I'm a fan of technology.

I can't speak for anyone else but I've stated a few times that my Pre will be getting replaced once a 4G device is announces and the OS didn't matter to me.

WebOS is still the best operating system and it feels as close to a computer are you're going to get.

My hats off to the iPhone but there is nothing really innovative about that phone.

Enjoy your iPhone, once they release a 4G version I will be joining you too:D

that reminds me to confirm that for google voice users this is already a GO, i had a BB tour (9630?) and when i was on a google voice call(data basically) i coul dget AND REPLY to text(cdma) msgs no problem, took me a while to figure out if it was a flute or not but then I realized how it came together maybe some othee sprint+Gvoice users can verfiy.

this phone does look hot though I would cop it and i might when i get back

Google Voice only works with 1.6+ versions of Android OS, all the Sprint phones still run 1.56 unless you are running a leaked rom. But people are still messing around with it. But from my experience, every application that has messaging features all have integrated into the OS just fine.

But 2.1 officially should come out for the Hero on the 26th.
