LOL 300gb cant hold me homie.. i need spaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

but seriously, can wd media player play .ISO files? cus most of my movies are like that...

im feeling the wd media cus on the 1080p feature and the .MKV playback i wouldn't have to convert anymore...

only thing is i gotta take my 1tb and make it external.
that small 300gb is just for show to look good in the living room

I got a 1TB, and a 500GB along with the 300gb

all external drives

ok so im fucking around with it now.. I like it so far and YES it DOES plays .mkv which is the main feature for me! BUT im not gettin any audio cus the Mkv audio is in DTS and thats not one of the audio formats that it plays.. im tryna figure what to do. If i can figure this out then im good!

Most of the movie i download is Bluray.DTS.x264 and i have audio problems

any tips?

Sup bruh. In Audio/Video settings, have you switched to digital? Check out this site too.

i did some research and solved the problem.. i used MKV2VOB to trancode the audio from DTS to AC3 takes 10mins top..

another solution is to avoid DTS files all together only dl AC3 movies and you won't have to convert anything..

i am really loving this device, yo.. it's turn my lil flash drive into a Bluray player..Thats Gangster, Homie..

props, fellas..

i hear the new wd tv media LIVE is even better might have to get one of those too.

Had this in the movie section. This is black dynamite:

Thx for the link D/L and it plays fine on my computer. trying to play it on my WD player and it does not see the file on the external HD. I know this is not the tech forum but any Idea's on why BD not showing on HD thru WD player?

the WD doesn't play .IMG files thats why.. use MagicISO to convert it into an .ISO file takes few minutes..

did u update firmware?

did u update firmware?

Had this thing for months as a backup to a backup. Now I'm starting to use it.

I updated the software (cool), and in updating the firmware it says "no drive found!"

I haven't even used it yet.

Any suggestions?

after you download the update, open the zip file and copy the two files inside, to your hd. once you power on the WD (with the hd connected), it will find the new firmware. just follow the prompts.

make sure to put the firmware file in the root of the drive, not inside a folder

I just grabbed my second one...was gonna wait and grab the Popcorn, but fuck it...

I bought the new live one,put it in my man-cave and the old one in the bed-room....no more DVDs.

Thanks fellas. I sent it to support but I'll keep trouble shooting with your solutions. That root sounds like a plan.
