For an area like New Orleans, which has been basically decimated and forgotten by most of America, a visit from a man who inspires hope in people like Obama can be a wondrous thing. Not that I'm the world's biggest Obama fan, but I can definitely see why people would be excited.

In other news...
I'm leavin Niamey tonight. We got lucky and finished our work done way ahead of schedule. Flying back to Paris, have a 12 hour layover, then down to Johannesburg, then to Harare.
Why go back to Paris? The reason is the State Department have authorized certain airlines you fly on. Some of these African air carriers are not approved. So it's Air France and South African Airlines.
I did take a few pics here, but being down here in Niamey is a bit depressing. So I really didn't go out too much. But I'll post the pics I took here when I get to Paris, as the internet speeds suck ass down here.
