It's never too Late for a BLACK MAN to go to COLLEGE

looking at your sister with her dick in my mouth makes me laugh the loudest

I'm college educated dumbass!

Because you have a degree doesn't mean your going to get a job.

the fuck did you say nigga?

where is duece?...catchphrase needed.

I'm 28 and don't have a single college credit to my name. I'm a landlord, and only have to work 3 or 4 times a month. The passive income is great, but my mother's putting a guilt trip on me for being so unproductive during the day.

I'm gonna ease into it by taking some classes this summer, then take a full load this fall.

So you're already successful and you want to go to college?

Man if the income from the landlord thing is great, and you have that much free time, I'd start another business in the same position.

Congrats either way.

You right man its never too late to further your education. I am 26 years old and completed my under grad in four years at the age of 22. I am now two classes away from completing my masters the non traditional way and gotta nice internship in my field.

Thanks. I figure if I only take 4 classes a semester, or 2 a day, I should still have plenty of time to do other things.

One day if I have kids, I wouldn't want to sound like a hypocrite when trying to instill in them the importance of a good education. I'd feel kinda silly encouraging them pursue higher education, while I ducked out on mine.

I earned in Associates at 23 joined a company worked and went to school. Got my BS at 26 now working on my MBA at 32. I'm that nigga. Period Dot.

:lol::lol: Holla at Jungle that nigga got a good Taxi Service i'll meet yall in the club for drinks.

aight man, I'm sure if I'm with fam I won't need a taxi or I'll just rent a car but the taxi is always straight in the Bay, especially Berkeley.

HAving a degree is the fastest way to make more money. Fact!
I thought i was late getting my degree and i was only 23. they make it seem like if you aren't done by 21 it's too late. EF That! lol

As for the topic @ hand, y'all know how I feel about education. Get a marketable skill & doors of opportunity will open up to you.

1. in today's world, finishing college in 4 yrs is tough... it took me 5 to get my engineering degree and a few of those semesters were 20-hr runs.

2. just get the degree... that's all that matters. then, get the job... that's all that matters. then, get paid every other week... that's all that REALLY matters.

3. never forget: chase the $$$... cause women come with dat shit.

got my degree 9 years after high school... fucked around for 5 years and went back hard starting at 23 years old... started at a community college... transferred to a university after 2 years... grinded that shit out while working a full time job with a young one...

you're ready when you're ready.

I'm starting that same plan now, except I have a yr of studies under my belt.

Does anyone know if medical schools frown upon people who do such things like take time off from school?

Peace,

As long as you finish strong (think 3.8 or higher GPA) AND have some extra-curricular activities under your belt as well (can't go wrong with any kind of volunteerism) then you've got a very good shot.

Good luck, bruh.

Bottomline: It's never too late to get an education. Also, there's no such thing as too much education.

For those of you reading this right now: GET AN INTERNSHIP BEFORE YOU GRADUATE!!!

I'm getting denied for internships based on what? You guessed it: no experience.

And co-sign on the graduating in 4 years thing. I graduated in 4.5 and I busted my ass those last two years. But dude you were an engineer, graduating in 5 on that is okay. Especially since some of the engineering programs at my school called for 150 credit hours. :smh:

In order to graduate in 4 years you really have to know what you want to do and stick with it. Changing majors will only lengthen your graduation time.

This is the best thread I read in long while.

You guys are a true inspiration.

Don't you know that BGOL hates higher education you about to get clowned. BGOL is where ignorant niggas gather to feel better about their lack of achievements.

come on fam....you back on this...:smh:

i'm 25 about to go back to school in the fall...i'm switching majors again...:smh:

D Town REdd, I'm sorry your thread got derailed, but more power to those that want to finish their degrees and get an education...it's never too late.

As far as you go Truth, I just wanna say, when I go out to visit my fam in the Bay, I gotta hook up with you to give you daps for makin' me laugh to fuckin' tears with your rants man...them shits always have me dying. Funny shit man, funny shit...:lol::lol:

I graduated this past March.......:yes::yes:

Not only that, when you are older, you learn not to take shit for granted and actually put more focus into your studies. I just shake my heads at some of kids right out of high school that try and clown around in classes.

I went back when I was 22, I got a 3.72 gpa.. It's a bit rough working full time and go to school full time, but it's all good.

I agree with this....alot of my so called friends would get mad when I wanted to study instead of talking to them on the phone or kicking it.....:hmm::hmm::hmm:

:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

I graduated from a 2-year school and hopefully I can get a job so I can go back and get my Bachelor's Degree....

Despite not having a job yet, I still keep myself busy though

props to all that think of growing mentally and financially. I remember as an undergrad, we had a 60 + year old guy in one of my classes who took one class a semester. This man had kids that were grown, worked for the government, should be retiring, but he said to get a degree is just something you have to do no matter what.

He was definitely an inspiration. lesson, it's never to late.

Might I add, The young women alone would have sold me.

Man props on thread(minus the e-beef)! I'm heading back to school myself!! In my mid-20's and headed back on June 8th!!! Man I'm anxious as hell but focused and ready to knock this out!!!
