So you're already successful and you want to go to college?
Man if the income from the landlord thing is great, and you have that much free time, I'd start another business in the same position.

hell naw its never late.... shit im 27 and gettin my college shit in... i started @ a community college, hopefully i can transfer to a university. time went by and everybody who came outta high school AFTER me finished college, even my girl finished with a bachelors. that was my wake-up call.
i had 40 year old man graduate with me in keniseology, he wanted to coach high school ball, and had a 70 year old dude in one of my grad classes. guess he just got bored, he was smart as hell too.
Thanks. I figure if I only take 4 classes a semester, or 2 a day, I should still have plenty of time to do other things.
One day if I have kids, I wouldn't want to sound like a hypocrite when trying to instill in them the importance of a good education. I'd feel kinda silly encouraging them pursue higher education, while I ducked out on mine.

aight man, I'm sure if I'm with fam I won't need a taxi or I'll just rent a car but the taxi is always straight in the Bay, especially Berkeley.
1. in today's world, finishing college in 4 yrs is tough... it took me 5 to get my engineering degree and a few of those semesters were 20-hr runs. 
2. just get the degree... that's all that matters. then, get the job... that's all that matters. then, get paid every other week... that's all that REALLY matters.

I'm starting that same plan now, except I have a yr of studies under my belt.
Does anyone know if medical schools frown upon people who do such things like take time off from school?

As long as you finish strong (think 3.8 or higher GPA) AND have some extra-curricular activities under your belt as well (can't go wrong with any kind of volunteerism) then you've got a very good shot.

I'm getting denied for internships based on what? You guessed it: no experience.
And co-sign on the graduating in 4 years thing. I graduated in 4.5 and I busted my ass those last two years. But dude you were an engineer, graduating in 5 on that is okay. Especially since some of the engineering programs at my school called for 150 credit hours.
In order to graduate in 4 years you really have to know what you want to do and stick with it. Changing majors will only lengthen your graduation time.

I graduated this past March.......
I agree with this....alot of my so called friends would get mad when I wanted to study instead of talking to them on the phone or kicking it.....
I graduated from a 2-year school and hopefully I can get a job so I can go back and get my Bachelor's Degree....
Despite not having a job yet, I still keep myself busy though

props to all that think of growing mentally and financially. I remember as an undergrad, we had a 60 + year old guy in one of my classes who took one class a semester. This man had kids that were grown, worked for the government, should be retiring, but he said to get a degree is just something you have to do no matter what.
He was definitely an inspiration. lesson, it's never to late.
