How come blacks don't like hockey?

In the hood I don't know. I know some of US growing up played on ice, in doors, on teams. We played because we loved to play and have fun.
The problem isn't equipment, the problem is ice. A naturally occurring ***SAFE*** ice surface is limited to a very small area of the country and an artificial ice surface is VERY expensive to build and maintain. Roller hockey would be a lot more likely, but then it competes with a myriad of other sports and you are a LOT more likely to get consensus for a game of hoops, baseball or touch football than you are roller hockey.
I grew up in an all black suburb and every kid on my street was in the ice hockey league at one point. Every kid on the street had their stick and full compliment of equipment (as someone mentioned earlier, the equipment can be gotten fairly cheap used). Later, as funds began to diminish in the community, the rink was shut down and not another word about hockey was uttered. There are still many leagues in the area, but they are priced out of the reach of MOST people (black and white).
Swimming/ Diving
Gymnastics
Hockey
Figure skating
Skiing/ Ski jumping
Equestrian sports
Golf (although many public courses offer fairly reasonable green fees and club rental rates on weekdays, but BUYING equipment and getting good at golf is EXPENSIVE).
...All of the above sports are dependent on either finances or access (or both) to really get into them, sports like football, baseball, basketball, soccer and track and field generally are not.
Even bowling to a certain lesser degree is limited by access and finances.

Got into a little bit when the CAPS was on there run.. Nothing wrong with the sport.. More luck involved though than any other sport.. And die hard hockey fans will agree with that..
Most people get into sports that they are exposed to as a kid... Hockey shit is expensive and the access to a hockey rink is limited... Like someone else mentioned here.. MOST WHITES dont even watch hockey.. its a very niche sport..

You probably right, I'm only speaking for the states (well Cali to be exact since that's where I'm at)
It definitely depends where you grew up. If you're somewhere up north where lakes freeze solid during the winter, you best believe you're playing hockey. Can't say the same for folks in the souf.
Because Hockey or rather the people that usually end up playing that sport don't like black people....
