There is a man of Indian descent who is a principal of a school here in New Orleans. When I say Indian I mean Indian as in Priya Rai, Bobby Jinda ect. There were complaints that he talks to and treats his female teachers who work under him like shit. When the story was passed to me, the person who was telling this (who is 55 years old) said "He shouldn't be principal over women teachers because it's not in his culture in India to treat women with respect". Now for some reason, I thought the cutlure comment was unnessesary as it diverts attention away from women, black women at that who are getting disrespected.
Another thing, I think alot of people in New Orleans are in love with the sound of their own voice. I dont understand some 22 year old fool with answer for everything trying to shout down Dr. Mackie.
On the issue of Hair, I really wish black people in a black city would stop bitching about the way young black men wear their hair. Especially in a city like New Orleans. Look at any New Orleans year book from 1970 to 1985 and you'll see dudes with the most outragous hairstyles known to man. It's crazy to suggest that the NOPD pull over or stop everybody young black man with dreds...When the House wanted to pass a bill that would allow police to question anybody who looks like an imigrant that shit was killed quickly Sonic the Hedgehog quickly...hmmm maybe because too many of the non-usual suspects would be subjected to dealing with some of the bullshit they talk about so much...

I really just want to go cause I never been. Just like I gotta go to Six Flags before the year over with just in case they go bankrupt and don't open next season.
