something is definitely going around. Lost 2 320 gig hd just the other day too, off of a raid system.
So far I have been able to get the HD recognized, and am using a program called Active File Recovery to get the data back. I tried a few others to retrieve the partitions but could not. This way is painstaking, but so far I am getting good results. Dunno if I got the proggy here or off the web, pm me if you can't find it.
Basically it was my own fault. My operating system was on an old HD, and for some reason must have sparked the other two. I had to buy a new HD and a external to transfer what I could off the old HDs. Gonna reformat and repartition afterwords, see if they will hold data again.
In themeantime, I was able to retrieve several cbr and cbz files, all with original names, but some of the files were corrupt (as in 0 data) but most were intact. The only other thing is that lots of jpegs get corrupted, but most of the other data seems to be intact.
Gotta reload the comic book reader, but other than that I am running.
Just back to the hard copies so the reading has fallen off...
