Obama scares some because he is showing (like many of us)what a Black man can do given with god-given talent, education and opportunity WITHOUT reparations. God forbid if all the Black people he's trying turn out at the voting booths began to think the same way.
If Obama gets in Office and is successful for at least 6-7 years and has turned things around in the right direction and people are eating. THEN reparation might be something he could pull off but don't count on it. Count on yourself.

3. Rap music that is not balanced. Okay I don't mind the occasional gansta rap or rap theme of "oh I got the money. I got the bitches. I drink Alize all the time and I party" bullshit rap themes that we get all the time. How about some rap music that talks about the accomplishments of black society or about how we can solve problems that affects not just Black Americans but Blacks all over the fucking world.
4. Those Pan-African motherfuckers. When we as a black people are faced with so many challenges, I can't stand some African oil, dashiki wearing, dreadlock wearing, cornrow wearing Pan-African asshole talking about "oh go back to Africa" solution. Look man we are in America and I'm not fucking leaving.
5. Why are illegal Mexican immigrants who come here and in just 5 years people, just five years they have a house in the surburbs? At the same time we as a black nation can't even get out of the fucking hood.
6. How come I go to colleges and I see every other nationality help each other out by studying together but when our own people study, I see them in seperate tables?
7. The AIDS crisis that is plaguing our community.
8. Our horrible habit of ostricizing some of our successful black people. Okay you don't have to like Condolezza Rice or Clarence Thomas. Hell I don't like them too. However, if they wanted to donate money or come back to an all black neighborhood, to an all black high school to talk to our youth about ways they can be successful then let them. What I'm saying here for once put away the political differences and listen to them. Albeit Clarance Thomas's, Rice's or Julius Wilson's views are not with mainstream Black America but shit people if they want to come back and give that black youth some hope, advice, and tips to make him self-sufficent than let them. Don't ostricize them to the point they feel alienated.

Now blacks should get reperations, you can't simply have corporations and white families making millions and living an elevated lifestyle on the back of unpaid suffering and then turn and aay its unfair to someone who didn't have anything to do with being forced to pay for it, their elevation in society is based on it so there should be some reimbursement for the institution.

A reperations check given to blacks only........would do more to HURT race relations than to help. Focus on fixing inner city schools, make higher education affordable for everyone regardless of race, and do something about the job situation in the USA better for everyone.
Obama is not running for president of the NAACP.......he is running for President of the USA. Barack would be responsible for making life better for everyone, not just singling out 12% of the the population which is black. I would agree with you but I'll say this in dc there's a program called the empowerment zones program that essentially allows anyone with a business plan to apply and receive either matching funds or fully funded businesses in poor areas that train and put disadvantage people to work.
BUT guess what and I know this for a fact my pops applied had an inside connect the whole nine and got put on hold because he was told by a higher up that the Bush administration has put a cap on minorities applying because the jobs the minorities were trying to create were above what the Bush administration wanted, they gave money to big ass coporations to bring minimum wage jobs to the hood to essentially keep the poor areas poor and depressed economically not allowing the areas to raise their tax base to have better schools.
The minority applicants were trying to create real jobs that poor folks could have a living wage actually raise their standard of living.
Please don't believe that because areas are poor that blacks and others don't know about this type thing but the system gets gamed to keep shit fucked up.
